Ingredients:
One section of lotus root, half a pound of ribs, a small piece of ginger, one star anise, a few grains of pepper, salt and pepper
Method:
1. Wash the ribs, blanch them, rinse and put them in a casserole.
2. Wash the lotus roots, peel them and cut them into pieces, which are about the same size as the ribs. Put them in a casserole dish.
Put the ginger, star anise and Sichuan peppercorns into the pot together.
Add water to the pot, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to a simmer and simmer for 2 hours.
3. Add salt and pepper to taste.
