Tianyi Pavilion in Ningbo-located in the west of Yuehu Lake in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. Tianyi Pavilion is the earliest existing private library in China. It was built in the 4th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (AD 1561) and was presided over by Fan Qin, the right assistant minister of the Ministry of War at that time.
