To say that this ancient city is closest to real life, Ziyang Old Street, which is more than 1000 meters long, is like the epitome of the sea. It needs history, historic sites, humanities and allusions. At present, people living along the street, including various shops and snack bars, are still mainly local people, and they all retain their original flavor. Therefore, if you travel to the seaside, you must visit here.
Strolling through the old streets and turning into some alleys inadvertently may lead to unexpected discoveries. And some inconspicuous corners are the original stories hidden with others. Interestingly, I also met an old lady who was willing to tell stories to passers-by. It happened to be dinner when I met her, so I had to press my curiosity. If it's fate, come back next time.
In fact, the names of ancient streets were very numerous at first, even a little "messy". According to the book Map of Governing the Country in Linhai County, which was drawn in the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934), this street has no street name, but is called the location of this street according to historical sites, names and places. At that time, the northern end of this street was called Huang Fang Bridge, the southern end was called Lan Xiu Building, and the middle part was called East Street. From north to south, there are Ziyang Palace, Yidongtian, Fengxian Square, Crossroads, Yingxianfang, Baita Qiaotou, Fangyiren, Deqing Lane, Paimenzhou, Laxiangkou, Anletian and Tan Xing Street. There were many place names, which brought a lot of inconvenience to the citizens at that time. To tell you the truth, I'm a little dizzy now.
During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, in order to unify the street name, the Kuomintang county magistrate Zhuang chose some celebrities to name Linhai Chengguan Street. There are Wenqing Street, Liudun Street and Leiming Street. Now Ziyang Street is named Zhongzheng Street. But even so, locals continue to call the original place names street names. After all, everyone has lived here for a long time, has long been used to it, and is familiar with each other. "Zhongzheng Street" basically exists in name only.
After liberation, the relevant departments extensively solicited the opinions of people from all walks of life, and made an overall planning and naming of Chengguan Street with reference to historical reality. In order to commemorate the peaceful liberation of Linhai, Zhongzheng Street was named Jiefang Street, which has been in use for 50 years.
Until 1994, Linhai people made a detailed and comprehensive investigation on the history of Jiefang Street, and on the premise of sufficient reasons, it was officially named Ziyang Street in 1998. In memory of Zhang Boduan, the ancestor of Nanzong, Ziyang Street was renamed Ziyang Street. He was born in the eighth year of Taiping Xingguo in the Northern Song Dynasty (983) and died in the fifth year of Yuanfeng (1082). He is 99 years old and lives in Guanyin Bamboo Lane in Linhai City. Zhang Boduan's "Five True Chapters" advocates the theory of the integration of Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism and three religions with Taoism as the core, which is similar to Wei Boyang's "magical power".
Living in the city for a long time will inevitably make you feel a little too noisy. Strolling along this ancient street, you can see the tranquility and comfort of ordinary life everywhere. If there is an opportunity, I think I'd be happy to come to Linhai. I'd better live next to the old street. I can eat "authentic" snacks here in the morning. If I am hungry at night, I can also look around and look for some local food.
