sharing is not illegal in itself, but it must comply with the relevant laws and regulations of the state on the overall control of group renting, such as no more than two people living in a room, and the per capita use area should not be less than 5 square meters.
Legal basis: The following eight acts of renting houses are liable in the Regulations on the Administration of Public Security of Leased Houses:
1. If the lessor rents out the house to people without identity documents, or fails to register the name, type and number of the lessee's identity documents as required, he shall be fined from 2 yuan to 5 yuan.
2. If the lessor knows that the lessee is using the leased house for criminal activities and fails to report to the public security organ, he shall be fined from 2 yuan to 5 yuan; If the circumstances are serious, he shall be detained for less than 5 days and may be fined less than 5 yuan.
3. If the lessor fails to sign the security responsibility guarantee, it shall be ordered to complete the formalities within a time limit and confiscate the illegal income. If the circumstances are serious, it may be fined less than 5 times the monthly rent.
4. if the lessor rents the house to a lessee without valid documents, it will be given a warning and fined less than 3 times the monthly rent.
5. if the lessor fails to perform the security responsibility and finds that the lessee is using the rented house to engage in illegal and criminal activities, or fails to stop or warn if he is suspected of illegal and criminal activities, or a case or public security disaster accident occurs, he shall be ordered to stop renting and may be fined not more than 1 times the monthly rent.
6. If the lessee sublets or lends the leased house to others and fails to report to the public security organ as required, he shall be given a warning and his illegal income shall be confiscated.
7. if the lessee illegally produces, stores or deals in inflammable, explosive and toxic dangerous goods, the goods will be confiscated and a fine of less than 1 times the monthly rent will be imposed.
8. If the leased or leased unit violates the regulations, it shall be punished by the county (city) public security bureau or the city public security bureau, and the person in charge or the person directly responsible of the unit shall be fined less than twice the monthly salary.
