Dalian Jiaotong University is a university jointly established by the People's Government of Liaoning Province and China National Railway Group Co., Ltd., and is a key construction university of first-class universities in Liaoning Province, with the qualification of recommending outstanding fresh graduates for postgraduate study without examination. Dalian Jiaotong University was founded in June 1956, when it was Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Manufacturing School. 1958 was upgraded to Dalian Railway Institute, under the management of the former Ministry of Railways; In February 2000, it was handed over to the Liaoning provincial government for management, and the management system of "joint construction between the central and local governments, focusing on local management" was implemented; In May 2004, it was renamed Dalian Jiaotong University with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
