During the Qianlong period, Emperor Qianlong toured the south of the Yangtze River, listened to the kind words of Ji Xiaolan, Minister of Food, and went to Luoding to eat dragon niches.

When eating this cold, tender and slippery dragon niche, Qianlong was full of praise, and said that it was not a snack, a bit like pig intestines, so it was better to call it rice rolls.
