Recommended West Lake tourist routes in Hangzhou in winter. Please keep this guide on the West Lake snowy routes.

We are no strangers to the impression of West Lake in Hangzhou. The beautiful love of Xu Xian and Bai Suzhen is spread here. There are scenes of West Lake such as broken bridges and snow. It has a long history and ancient buildings. Leifeng Pagoda stands proudly on the bank of the West Lake. Time has passed

However, it is still so beautiful here.

1. Spend time from 10:00 am to evening 2. Detailed route: Longxiangqiao Metro Station – West Lake Music Square – Broken Bridge – Turn Back – Jixian Pavilion – Yongjinmen – Shuangtou Bridge – Nanshan Road

night view.

3. For lunch, choose the New White Deer Restaurant next to the West Lake, or skip it.

4. For accommodation recommendations, you can choose a B&B in the Santaiyunshe B&B group near Jihong Bridge: This lake residence is highly recommended to stay in the B&B group on snowy days. The snow scenery is not easily damaged and the viewing experience is super cool.

This is the Jihong Bridge taken during the day outside the Lake Resident Hotel. Although it was taken with a mobile phone, it is very beautiful if you take it casually.

Chatting around the fire in a B&B like this will definitely feel great.

5. Detailed travel notes, from rafting in Xishi to Bai Juyi’s spring trip to Qiantang Lake, from Su Dongpo drinking on the lake to Yang Wanli admiring lotuses in June, Hangzhou’s West Lake has always been so favored by people, even Qiu Jin, the chivalrous heroine of the Republic of China, chose to rest here.

But the reason why West Lake captures the hearts of the people is also due to her undiminished beauty no matter it is rainy or snowy.

There is a folk saying, "A sunny West Lake is not as good as a rainy West Lake, a rainy West Lake is not as good as a foggy West Lake, and a foggy West Lake is not as good as a snowy West Lake."

In early December, in the middle of winter, Hangzhou encountered snow, and West Lake also ushered in its most beautiful time.

A trip to the West Lake at this time is definitely indispensable.

Just like the starting station for Volkswagen, we chose to start from the lakeside area of ??Longxiangqiao Metro Station. Head north and take a look at the broken bridge with residual snow. It is not recommended to go to the crowded broken bridge. I have a telephoto, so I took a photo from a distance.

, and turn back.

Of course, for the public, you can still go if you want to see it.

Personally, I don’t recommend it. In addition, I don’t recommend taking pictures of the close-up shots of the security tower that are circulated on the Internet, because you need to climb Baoshi Mountain and the roads are slippery in snowy weather, which poses safety risks.

After taking pictures of the Broken Bridge, we turned back to Jixian Pavilion. One of the most beautiful shooting locations along the West Lake is Jixian Pavilion, which is a few hundred meters south of the Fountain Square. You can take photos of the static pavilion with broken lotuses in the distance, and you can see the water and mountains of the West Lake up close.

If you have enough energy, you can choose to continue hiking southward towards Leifeng Pagoda.

On the way, you will pass Yongjinmen and see the fisherman sculpture. The fisherman in the snow describes the past of Jiangnan. The surrounding scenery is also very beautiful.

Since I only started my trip at noon, I did not walk this section. Instead, I chose to take bus No. 4 near Longxiangqiao subway station and go directly to the entrance of Leifeng Pagoda Scenic Area. Bus: Jingsi Station.

We turned back from the bus station to Shuangtou Bridge and took this scene.

Behind this pavilion is the Leifeng Pagoda. The West Lake after snow is misty, and the close-up and distant views are full of contrasts.

The trees on the bank beside Leifeng Pagoda also add to the charm of landscape painting.

Let’s take a solo photo of Leifeng Pagoda and say goodbye to admiring and photographing Leifeng Pagoda near Shuangtou Bridge, because more beautiful scenery is still ahead.

But I have to say, the Leifeng Pagoda in the snow is really beautiful! Going south on Nanshan Road, the snowy night view needs to be matched with falling snowflakes to be beautiful, but at this time, the falling snow flakes are just right.

embellishment.

Be sure to remember that the night view of Nanshan Road is worth seeing! When you reach the entrance of Su Causeway, the impromptu snowflakes stopped falling again, and the beautiful scenery became more pure.

I have always felt that Sudi is the most stress-relieving avenue next to the West Lake. The trees on both sides are dense and dense. When walking on Sudi, you can be accompanied by the light of the lake.

Sudi is just for viewing and shooting at the entrance. After exiting, we continue to move forward to the Peony Garden and Huagang Fish Viewing Area. Along the way, we accidentally photographed the water birds in the West Lake, spreading their wings in the vast mist and crouching low on the water surface of Rujian.

Follow the road signs and cross the bridge to the Peony Garden. Along the way, you can see the secret mist on the south side of the West Lake, which gives people the feeling of accidentally entering a hot spring.

Deep in the bay, birds are singing.

All you see as you move forward are the Peony Garden and the Flower Harbor for fish watching. Among them, there are pavilions in the snow and a painted network of smoke bridges looking north at Leifeng Pagoda.

Among them, I also saw the accompanying duck.

Of course, the most stunning things are the red maples on the tree-lined paths in the Peony Garden and by the lake, as well as the unknown flowers that Ling Han blooms alone. This bright color changes the gray and white color of the West Lake Scenic Area and adds color to the trip.

few.

After heading from the Peony Garden to the Huagang Fish Viewing Scenic Area, do not return to Su Causeway from the nearby exit. Instead, follow the road signs near Huagang Fish Viewing Area in the direction of Lin Huiyin Monument and go all the way to Yanggong Causeway.

Walking towards Yanggongdi, if it is early, you can go west to Maojiabu, so that you can take pictures of the quietest scenery in the snowy scenery of West Lake.

I only started my trip at noon. It was almost dark when I arrived at Jihongqiao, so I didn’t have time to go to Maojiabu.

Jihongqiao lights up on a clear day and at night.

On a snowy day, I didn’t turn on the lights because I was afraid of power lines, but the night view was also beautiful.
