In the United States, the most respectable profession is fireman. What kind of professional respect has nothing to do with how much money you earn, but how much power you have contributed to society. Pilots have gradually stepped down from the altar now, but even though they are taking less and doing more work, the company is getting wider and wider, their hair is flying less and less, their back is getting more and more painful, and their blood pressure is getting higher and higher. They have never taken less responsibility and their safety has never been loosened. Nowadays, many people feel that they are more and more like bus drivers, and they can't get the respect of the company, the treatment they deserve, and the understanding of the society. However, they are still doing their duties conscientiously.
