The total length of this article is about 2,3 words, and it takes ten minutes to read. It only takes ten minutes to help you solve all the shooting-related problems, and Xiaobai can practice according to the article.
First, equipment preparation:
There are not many equipment needed for shooting. Generally, we only need a mobile phone to complete it, but for lighting effects and angles, we need a bracket to fill the light.
mobile phone shooting: mobile phone, mobile phone tripod, desktop tripod, fill light
camera shooting: SLR/micro-single, matching lens, camera tripod, fill light
Second, resolution and frame rate:
(1) What is resolution?
we often hear values such as 72p, 18p and 4k, which directly affect the clarity and quality of our video. Their clarity and picture texture increase in turn. So when shooting video, you must choose to shoot with 18p and 4k!
(2) what is the frame rate?
fps is the frame rate. Generally speaking, we think that 24 pictures will move when 1s plays them continuously. The higher the value, the smoother the video will be. For example, a video with a frame rate of 6fps, that is, 1s shoots 6 pictures, and the more pictures, the smoother it is. In fact, shooting 6fps is enough under normal circumstances!
mobile phone settings: 18p frame rate 3fps.
camera settings: 192*18p or 4K frame rate of 25fps.
Third, how to focus the video:
(1) Mobile phone shooting:
The problem of mobile phone focusing is relatively simple, all of which are camera autofocus. We can also manually click on the screen to choose the focus of the picture.
(2) camera shooting:
autofocus means that the camera automatically selects the focus according to the shot picture. When shooting, the camera will automatically recognize the face and focus on it, but there will be times when the focus is not accurate, which is not suitable for shooting scenes with motion or multiple images and multiple subjects.
manual focus: as the name implies, manual focus is selected manually according to the subject of the picture, which can ensure the accuracy of the subject's focus. If it is a video shooting, it will be more difficult. You can shoot it with a fixed lens as much as possible.
IV. Depth of field:
Depth of field simply means whether there is blur in the picture, which means shallow depth of field, and no blur means deep depth of field.
(1) How to blur the mobile phone:
At present, both Apple and Android mobile phones have portraits or large aperture effects. You can directly shoot a video with clear subject and blurred background.
(2) How to blur the camera:
Blurring mainly depends on large aperture and focal length, and you can choose a lens with an aperture below f2.8. For example, the aperture of f1.8 f1.4 can also be changed into a virtual effect through a telephoto lens. For example, 18-2mm lens, but zooming to 2mm can also shoot the background blur effect.
5. Composition:
Foresight: Foresight is generally used to show the whole picture of the environment far away from the camera, to show the broad space environment, natural scenery and mass activities of people and their surroundings, and to introduce the environment and express their emotions.
Panorama: Panorama contains a lot of picture information, including the spatial structure, the dramatic movements of the actors and the performances of many people. Mainly to show the whole body of the characters, with a large range of activities. The figure, dress and identity are clearly explained, and the panoramic picture can explain the close relationship between characters and the environment more comprehensively than the distant view.
Middle shot: The middle shot can clearly shoot the body movements of the characters, mainly taking pictures of the knees of adults. The picture will also capture some scenes, but the main body of the picture will still be dominated by characters. But I will briefly explain the shooting environment.
close-up: take a picture of the person above the chest. You can clearly capture the facial expressions of the characters, and you can clearly see the detailed movements of the characters. The center of the picture will fall on the actor's face, especially on his eyes. The composition of the picture should be as simple as possible, so as to avoid the messy background from grabbing the line of sight, and shooting can be combined with blurred background.
Close-up: The top of the picture usually reaches the top of the actor's head, just below the actor's shoulder, revealing his sleeves, which can show the facial expressions, joys and sorrows of the characters in detail.
Macro: Macro lens is a special lens, which is mainly used to shoot very fine objects. The purpose of macro photography is to show the details of the main body in detail and present the subtle parts in front of the audience. . For example, shooting eyes, shooting hand movements, shooting a small flower, etc., close-ups are used to shoot artistic images, and macro lenses can also assume the role of enriching images.
6. Shooting angle:
(1) Flat shooting:
For example, centering on the figure, the camera and the head of the figure are on the same horizontal line, and around the figure, the figure is kept still, and the camera moves along the arc direction, so that the front view, left view, back view and right view of the figure can be obtained all the way.
provides the audience with the actor's positive and emotional perspective from the most common perspective in the story, and adds a spatial dimension to the picture. Usually, when shooting, the camera and lens should be on the same level with the subject, so that the audience can establish an equal relationship with the role.
(2) Overhead shooting:
Shooting an actor or action from a higher position will give the audience a feeling that the characters they may see are weak, humble or are currently in a weak position.
If the overhead shot represents another character's perspective, the moral is that the actor has a higher position in the story or is despising another character.
(3) Up-shot:
Up-shot means looking at it from a low angle, when people or things are very existential, or in the story, the character is gaining the upper hand. As a visual lens, the up-shot angle is the only one, and the character who looks at it from a low angle is weak, or he is in a position of compromise.
VII. Short video /vlog shots:
Shooting vlog will not have as many shots as movies and TV. vlog is more like a life record, consisting of many fragments of life stories. But video will also have its own subject and style rhythm.
Step one, choose the topic: First, you need to know what style and type of short video to shoot, which will determine the choice of equipment and scenes. Style can be shooting daily life, beauty course, travel diary, unpacking evaluation and so on.
step 2, decide the shooting event: according to our topic and scene, we need to determine what the shooting event is. For example, getting up and dressing up, drinking coffee, going out shopping and so on, these are roughly what we need to shoot.
Step 3, write a shot-splitting script: according to the text version written in the outline, it is necessary to specify in detail how to shoot and which shots to shoot, which can improve efficiency and avoid the phenomenon of repeated shots. And later, you can also edit according to the content of the shot script, which avoids the embarrassing situation of getting the material completely blind and not knowing how to operate.
step four, shoot according to the script: shoot step by step according to the shot-splitting script made by yourself in the early stage, or shoot more materials in sequence, so that the space for later selection will be much larger.
