At that time, the emperor chose Tianhui Town in Chengdu as his temporary residence.

The emperor wanted to eat thin pancakes from the north, but the Sichuan chef couldn’t make them!

I had to make the dough very thin as instructed, and then make the meat filling, but how to wrap it became a problem.

So the chef secretly went to see what kind of person the emperor was and whether he would kill himself because he couldn't make it.

At this time, he saw the emperor looking at the scenery with his hands folded. When he had an idea, he went back to cut the dough into squares, put the meat filling in the middle, folded two corners in half, and put the other two corners together like the emperor's hands, and put it in the pot.

As soon as it was cooked, it was served.

The emperor was a little displeased when he saw it and asked what was this?

The chef replied tremblingly: "This is the Dragon Hand. Your Majesty, if you copy the hand, the world will be peaceful!" As soon as the emperor heard that Long Yan was delighted, he started to eat, and it tasted very good.

So I remembered this snack.

After returning to Chang'an after escaping from the chaos, the emperor still wanted to eat, but the chefs in the north didn't know how to cook it.

Gao Lishi scolded the chef: "Asshole!" and then told the chef what to do.

The chef was so angry that he muttered as he was cooking: "Assholes are just assholes, so let's just call this dish a bastard dish."

However, when the snack was introduced to the public, ordinary people could not associate "bastard" with the snack, so they called it "wonton".

That’s why it’s called “wonton” in the north.

Later, it spread to the south. Due to the large differences in accents and regions, the name became "Wonton".
