Each time-honored brand is a history of urban commercial and cultural changes. Once upon a time, these "time-honored brands" were household names. But nowadays, most of them are drifting away. Recently, the reporter walked into the archives of Yunnan Province to explore these time-honored past lives in Yunnan.
Nan Laisheng: Ho Chi Minh is a baker. Shen Congwen and Chen Jiageng are frequent visitors.
There is a shop in Kunming, whose history contains almost all the legendary story models of the Republic of China: one of the earliest foreign restaurants in Kunming; Vietnamese love to come here to talk about business; American soldiers of the Flying Tigers used this place as a meeting place; Ho Chi Minh works as a baker here and works underground. Chen Jiageng is a frequent visitor inside; Shen Congwen also specially chose it to entertain Hu Shi; Even Zhou Enlai said, "The coffee here is exactly the same as when I was studying in France." ...
This is the "Nanlaisheng" bakery, formerly known as "Xinyue", founded by Vietnamese female boss Xuan in Kunming Road in the 1930s.
Turning over the history of winning in the south makes people sad. The war did not destroy it, but the changes in the city made it drift away. In the 1990s, after the demolition of Jinbi Road, Nan Laisheng moved the shop to the opposite side of Tongyuan Mountain, where there were almost no people. In order to survive, this time-honored brand, which is famous for its French West Point, once sold rice noodles and noodles.
Demao Zhuang Yi: In troubled times, good clothes make a strong country.
In the tenth year of the Republic of China (A.D. 192 1 year), the Chua brothers from Yuxi opened a clothing store at No.303 Zhengyi Road, Kunming, and named it "Demao Clothing Store".
"If the clothes are worn out, the buttons will not fall off. This is the impression of the old Kunming people on the first brand of Yunnan clothing, "Demao".
Demao Yizhuang became famous in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period. At that time, the costumes of the Yunnan army were all made by Demao. Because of the majestic style of the military uniforms it produces, it is becoming fashionable to have a good dress like a military uniform.
In 1980s, "Demao" made great achievements again, and people waiting for tailor-made clothes lined up in the street. But in the 1990s, the business of Demao Yizhuang went downhill. Up to now, only one small facade on Ankang Road has shrunk.
Yunnan Baiyao: the secret recipe of a century-old legend
Among Chinese patent medicines in the 20th century, Yunnan Baiyao (formerly known as Baibaodan) is the most mysterious. According to the information of Yunnan Provincial Archives, Yunnan Baiyao is a Chinese patent medicine powder specially developed for Yunnan Renqu, which has a history of 100 years, and its formula is still the top secret in China's economic and intellectual property fields.
There are many legends about Qu and his fairy medicine. 1935, Chiang Kai-shek met Qu in Yunnan, and Qu sent 500 bottles of Baibaodan to Chiang Kai-shek. Chiang Kai-shek was very happy when he received this "gift". He wrote the inscription "The effect is perfect" and attached a photo of his upper body.
On September 5th, 1937, more than 40,000 soldiers from the 60th Army of the National Revolutionary Army went to the reflux line, and each of them took Dan from Qu. Zhu Xixian used to be the bodyguard of Long Yun, the then chairman of Yunnan Province. He remembered Baiyao: the wound was too badly hurt, so he sprinkled Baiyao on him and wrapped it up, and it would be fine in two days. The battle of Taierzhuang not only made the Dian army famous in the world, but also made Qu and Bai Baodan famous in the world. Before and after the Anti-Japanese War, the annual sales volume of Baiyao reached more than 400,000 bottles, and the products were exported to Singapore, Jakarta, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Macao.
Half a century has passed, and the original private Baibaodan has now become a state-owned Yunnan Baiyao. However, no matter how the times change, the value of Yunnan Baiyao remains unchanged.
