Is Pujiang Mingyue Village fun? Pujiang Mingyue Village travel guide

Pujiang Mingyue Village is located in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It is also an ancient town full of humanistic atmosphere. The life here is very comfortable and leisurely. People’s life is simple and not as prosperous as in the big city. This is also the characteristic of the Land of Abundance. The best explanation is that traveling here can find a sense of home for the soul. Let me share with you the Pujiang Mingyue Village travel guide.

Mingyue Village, Ganxi Town, Pujiang County, Chengdu, borders Mingshan County, Ya'an City, and its geographical features are also very similar. Therefore, you can see patches of tea trees on the rural roads. There are also many thunder bamboos. In spring, piles of young bamboo shoots are placed at the door of every house, waiting to be delivered to the city.

In the fields of Mingyue Village, there are more kiwi fruits, which must be the main cash crop of this village.

However, since 2015, Mingyue Village is no longer a small village that only grows cash crops. Because, a group of new residents - cultural artists - have gradually moved into the village.

The village has the Mingyue International Ceramics Village, which is full of artistic elements:

It mainly relies on Mingyue Kiln to carry out cultural and creative contents such as exhibition and sale of ceramic art, learning and observation of ceramic production. There is also a "far sunroom" for early check-in, where you can experience tie-dying yourself.

There are also cultural and creative art spaces such as poet A Ye’s Youduoyun Art Café and famous tea maker Chen Yao’s “Mandala” tea life.

In addition, Mingyue Village also has a bamboo shoot cultural garden and a tea garden for tourists to visit and experience.

This small village has become a leisure place for city people, but as long as it is not during the short or long holidays, it is still quiet. On the small roads in the village, you will occasionally encounter a few urbanites walking people.

Countryside and art, leisure and enjoyment, convenient transportation, and unique food and accommodation are all the reasons why I have a special liking for Mingyue Village.

It is very enjoyable to meet a few friends and stay one night in Mingyue Village, take a walk, drink tea, watch pottery making, taste delicious food, feel the tranquility of the breeze and bright moon, and be immersed in the artistic atmosphere. .

You can’t have it, but you can feel it. Come to Mingyue Village to fulfill your rural Tahara dream.

The ancient pines are graceful, the ancient kilns are silent, and the folk customs are simple. More than a hundred ceramicists, artists, and designers live in the countryside, scattered among the tea valley and pine forests.

Inadvertently, I saw the photos of Mingyue Village on Jian Tu’s WeChat official account and was immediately attracted. With the yearning for this strong literary and artistic sentiment, my friend and I started this literary journey.

Simple tours are mainly provided for independent tourists, using golden tourist routes as bus routes. My roommate used to take a simple bus to Jiuzhaigou. It was very cost-effective and there were no shopping stores. It made stops at scenic spots and played around, so you could hop on and off. You could just buy the itinerary and transportation, or you could also buy other accommodation products and packages. Traveling with a group provides more freedom and is more worry-free than self-guided tours. I chose the simple way to go to Mingyue Village this time, and it was also highly recommended by my roommate!

Finally, on a weekend in May, my friend and I arrived at the specified time We met at the Kuanzhai Alley meeting point, waiting for everyone to arrive, and took a simple ride towards the literary village in our hearts.

Although it was drizzling and a bit cold, we were still very excited. It took about 2 hours to arrive at Mingyue Village. Because we got up early, my friends and I basically slept through it. Fortunately, we chose Jiantu, which gave us peace of mind. Jiantu’s driving assistant woke everyone up in advance before arriving

and introduced the basic situation of Mingyue Village to everyone. According to everyone’s different situations, They suggested several different routes for us, which was super considerate.

Tranquil and distant, looking for a paradise. Mingyue Village is located in the suburbs of Chengdu. It is a blended and unique village. It not only has the beautiful scenery of a paradise, but also has highly modern works of art. From a distance, it seems that there are only a few scattered mud houses, guarding the vast empty tea fields alone. When you walk into it, you feel that there is something else going on.

Everything here is almost original. The courtyard walls made of yellow mud, the wooden doors, the retro decoration, even the production of ceramics and pottery tools here are the most primitive methods. Wandering among them, Sit in the antique courtyard and feel the peace and leisure.

Walking around Mingyue Village in the rain is a unique experience. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, enjoy the perfect combination of simplicity and sophistication with your friends. In the drizzle, you can "waste" your weekend time in another way and discover every plant and tree in Mingyue Village.

Pujiang Mingyue Village

Mingyue Village in Ganxi Town, Pujiang County, Sichuan has recently become popular on WeChat, just like the Huajian Bookstore in Daoming Town, Chongzhou City a few years ago. I went to Mingyue Village to stay for two nights to find out.

Rural areas are the focus and difficulty in building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way in my country. If farmers become rich, China will become rich. The purpose of new rural construction (called "construction" in Taiwan) is to increase farmers' income and become rich. Chongzhou Street and Yuantong Ancient Town have invested heavily in turning towns and villages into tourist attractions to earn money from city dwellers. Archways, ancient theaters, antique buildings, and bar streets are the standard features of the ancient town. Everywhere sells soup cakes, Huaiyuan Three Wonders, Chazha noodles, and bean curd rice. During the day, there are shopkeepers shouting, tour guides trumpeting, and tourists playing mahjong. At night, There is bar karaoke sound. Mingyue Village has taken a unique approach. Instead of building antique buildings and bar streets, Mingyue Village has introduced artists, cultural celebrities, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to live in the village. They rely on them to attract tourists and rely on WeChat and word-of-mouth marketing. Among the districts, counties (cities) under the jurisdiction of Chengdu, Pujiang County is the most economically backward. It would be of extraordinary significance if Mingyue Village could find a new way to build rural areas and increase farmers' income.

Jiezi is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with Yuantong and three rivers converging. Mingyue Village is located in the hilly and flat area of ??western Sichuan. There are no mountains and rivers, and the natural scenery has been greatly lost. Today, Mingyue Village has emerged and prospered. First of all, I want to give a thumbs up to the provincial, municipal, and county decision-makers. This time they seem to have found the right thing.

The pastoral scenery of Mingyue Village

The ancient towns of Jiezi, Yuantong and Pingle are managed by vague and bloated government bureaucracies. The people who run Mingyue Village are individuals with distinctive personalities: Chen Qi, the "village chief" sent by the government, a beautiful master's degree from Sichuan University, who is very active on WeChat; Shuang Li, the boss of the tourism cooperative, and a young literary and artistic woman from Beijing who drives an Audi and returns home. ;Zhou Yuliang, CEO of the public welfare organization Aisi Youth, is a steady and interesting intellectual. Among the new villagers "introduced" to Mingyue Village, the most eye-catching are Xia Lili's family of three. Xia Lili and Wang Jianting study rural construction and are obsessed with rural life. They have a two-year-old child, Le Mao. They took Le Mao to visit eight farms/villages including Chongzhou Fanpu Farm and Hong Kong Kadoorie Farm, wrote eight detailed inspection reports (I read them all), and finally settled in Mingyue Village.

Mingyue Village has built an 18-kilometer road around the village. I walked along the road from beginning to end in two days. The route is: Stone House (Visitor Center, Mingyue Library , Mingyue Canteen) -> Crossroads (stone monument into the village) -> Sunroom in the distance, Chen__ Firewood Turkey -> Mingyue New Village -> Mingyue Kiln -> Crossroads -> Stone House. The road is narrow, so when a car passes by, I try to go to the fields on the side of the road to avoid it. When you are tired from walking, sit on the rocks on the side of the road for a while. After the construction of facilities in Mingyue Village reaches a certain scale, cars can be banned on this road, and only villagers are allowed to drive battery cars to carry people, and the villagers can also make money. Stone and wooden seats can be built on the roadside for tourists to take a rest.

The map of Mingyue Village is like a table tennis racket, with scattered attractions. There are currently only three man-made attractions (houses): the stone house, the distant sunroom, and the Mingyue Kiln. The three are shaped like an equilateral triangle, and it takes half an hour to walk between them. There are only two places to eat: Mingyue Canteen and Chen__ Firewood Turkey. It takes half an hour to walk between the two.

Stone House

The sunroom in the distance is the dyeing workshop/studio of the former hostess and artist Ning Yuan. It is also a stone house, and it contains the radiator that Sichuan needs most in winter:

In Mingyue Kiln, the activity room on the side of the kiln is very delicately built:

In addition to the fields (mainly growing tea), the natural landscape is only the Spring Bamboo Shoot Garden, which is a large artificially planted bamboo forest. Close to Mingyue New Village (resettlement community). There are no shops, no cafes, bars, or teahouses. There are no temples or old houses like Yuantong in Chongzhou. There is no inn, so we can only stay in villagers' homes. Obviously, no one knew or came here in the past, and there were no commercial facilities at all. Such an ordinary rural village has risen into a legendary romantic pastoral and literary village in just two or three years. Behind it is undoubtedly the extraordinary creativity, determination, perseverance and execution of the planning, creation and promotion team.

Chun Bamboo Shoot Garden:

Mingyue Lake next to Mingyue New Village:

I chatted with Uncle Li in the Spring Bamboo Shoot Garden. His family has not moved into the resettlement community and still lives in the bamboo forest. He said that part of the house could be rented out, and the tenants must accept living with his family. He did not want to leave the bamboo forest. The landlords of the sunroom in the distance, Uncle Luo and his wife, have not moved out either. They live in the two houses on the left side of the front of the sunroom.

Mingyue Village has introduced ten or twenty new important villagers, but the only visible ones are Xia Lili's family of three and the original host Ning Yuan. Other new villagers have no houses to live in, so it is obviously inappropriate for them to live in resettlement houses. The Pujiang County Government should spend thousands of dollars to build a unique courtyard for each of them in Mingyue Village and invite them to live there permanently. Today, there are a proliferation of ancient towns, water towns, and farmhouses, and attractions compete for customers. These new villagers are the core competitiveness of Mingyue Village. It is gratifying to hear that the leaders of Pujiang County have already had this intention. This investment also allows villagers who rent out land and properties to make money, and everyone is happy.

The new villagers in Mingyue Village are currently only on the wall. They need to build a yard for them to live in:

A new house for the new villagers has not been built yet. Exterior view:

Interior view:

Mingyue Village does not follow the old path of commercial ancient towns. It does not rely on landscape, but on culture. It lacks natural scenery and creates cultural phenomena. It has nothing to rest on, only innovation and creativity. I wish Mingyue Village will succeed and become a new place for leisure travel without machines, karaoke, or the sound of tour guides’ horns, and become another model for the construction of new rural areas across the country.
