Hong Kong is a prosperous international metropolis. After visiting Hong Kong for a free trip, everyone said that Hong Kong is indeed a particularly interesting place. This time, I read a lot of free travel guides online, and then I went to Hong Kong to play.
(1) Free traffic
Octopus can also be used for buses in Hong Kong, but visually there are many types of buses, which seem to be divided into buses and minibuses. Anyway, I often can't find the stop sign, and the probability of getting lost will be greater, so I still suggest taking the subway as much as possible.
There is also a full-time pass in Hong Kong, which costs HK$ 55. In 24 hours, the MTR can take unlimited rides except the Airport Express and the line from Luohu to Hung Hom. If you want to take the subway frequently in a day, it is more cost-effective.
(2) Free travel hotels
Hotels in Hong Kong generally have small rooms and expensive prices, so it is recommended to book rooms online in advance, and the prices can be greatly reduced. We booked the room on Taobao one month in advance, and booked the Xintiandi Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui. This hotel is in a good location. It takes three minutes to turn left from exit D of Jordan subway station. It has convenient transportation and is located in the bustling area of Hong Kong. It's close to Tsim Sha Tsui, Harbour City, Temple Street Night Market and other places, and it's within walking distance. We have booked more than 9 family rooms in Taobao, and personally think that the cost performance is relatively high.
(3) Free travel attractions:
1. Tickets for the Taipingshanding cable car, the skyscraper platform and Madame Tussauds
are all booked on Taobao in advance, which can save a lot of money. The cable car and the skyscraper are on the same ticket, which is a spot ticket. At that time, you can save the time of queuing for cable car tickets and just queue up to take the cable car. When you see people waiting in long lines to buy lift tickets, while you are waiting in line to take the bus, just have fun. Tickets for the wax museum need to be exchanged at the gate of the wax museum, and there is basically no queue, which is very convenient.
We went to Taipingshanding Cable Car Station by minibus 15C, but this 15C stop sign is very difficult to find. We took the subway to Central first, and asked the roadside to walk after exit A, but we missed several times on the way. Finally, I found the station under the bell tower in central ferry piers. I can't remember how I got there halfway. Later, I thought about it. I probably got out of the subway and took a long blue air corridor similar to an overpass to go directly to the station. If you want to ask for directions, you'd better ask the bus drivers, who are familiar with the location of each bus stop. After taking 15C, the terminal is the cable car station. Show the cable car ticket to the staff there, and he will guide you to line up directly for the cable car. There are many people in the queue, so don't get in the wrong line.
After taking the cable car to the top of the mountain, you will be in a building, which looks like peak tower. There are many floors in peak tower, and the p1 floor is Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. If you book a package ticket online in advance, the entrance of the wax museum is the place to exchange tickets. It is suggested to go to the cable car at 2 pm, then visit the wax museum first, and then visit all floors in peak tower. There are many shops in the Peak Square and many restaurants on all floors in peak tower. Skyscraper is located on the top floor of peak tower, which is a 36-degree viewing platform. A ticket is a lift ticket, so don't lose it. Tickets can only be used once, and you can't go up when you get off the skyscraper. So I got on the skyscraper platform at five o'clock in the afternoon, overlooking Victoria Harbour and taking a panoramic view of Hong Kong during the day. After that, I have been waiting for the arrival of night on the skyscraper. The skyscraper is still a little cold when it is windy at night. Try not to wear shorts. On the day I went, it was cloudy and windy, and it was wonderful to see clouds floating by, surrounded by fog. Wait until about 7: 3, and it will be completely dark. At this time, you should enjoy the night view of Victoria Harbour. The surrounding high-rise buildings are all lit up, which is very beautiful. By the way, the night view looks beautiful, but the effect of taking pictures is not necessarily good. Dad's entry-level SLR is slightly better, but it needs superb technology+tripod, otherwise it won't be clear. Ordinary digital cameras and mobile phones really focus on participation. But don't patronize taking pictures of such beautiful scenery. It is most important to feel it with your heart. There are still many people waiting in line on the cable car when going down the mountain. At the same time, you can choose to take the bus. Many people go to central ferry piers, and there are fewer people waiting in line, but the journey is longer than the cable car.
2. Tickets for Disneyland
were also booked on Taobao before, which is much cheaper and can be used directly.
It's very convenient to go to Disney by subway. The most convenient way from where we live is to take the Jordan Station to Lijing Station, change to Tung Chung Line to Xin 'ao Station, and then change to Disney Line to get there directly. We will arrive at Disney at about 9: 3, and now we will take some photos at the gate and let in the big
door. Get a free Disneyland map after you go in. The map will not only show the locations of the world, but also the locations of toilets, restaurants and so on, paying special attention to the signs with Mickey's fingers, representing the locations where cartoon characters appear. In addition, we should pay attention to the time of splash
parade and the time of fireworks display at night, which is wonderful. Disney has four items to take FASTPASS: Flying over Space Mountain, Winnie the Pooh Adventure, Buzz Lightyear Interstellar Adventure, and FP. Specific measures: Insert tickets into the FP slot, and FP will automatically pop up, and at the same time, exit your tickets. You should play this item within the time period indicated by FP. During this time period, your tickets cannot be exchanged for FP of any other games. After taking FP, go to other places to play first, and then come back at the scheduled time. You can play this project first through the expressway. Because you need tickets in exchange for FP, please pay attention to keep the tickets. These three projects are worth playing, and there are many people waiting in line. It is worth noting that in the afternoon, FP will be taken out by everyone. So one of the projects may still need to queue up by itself.
There is a famous Donghui City near Disney, which is discounted all year round. There are many famous brands, and the price is still relatively cheap. There are all kinds of things, but some of the latest models are missing. When you get out of Disney, take the subway Disney Line to Xin 'ao Station, change to Tung Chung Line, arrive at the terminal in tung chung station, and go up to the first floor. We went to Donghui Famous Brand City from Disney at about two o'clock in the afternoon. When we left Disney, we should tell the staff at the door that you will come back and ask him to put an invisible seal on your arm. Disney will come back at night because there is a beautiful fireworks show at night.
Disney has a fireworks display over the sleeping princess's castle at 9: pm, which is very beautiful. The performance lasted about five minutes, and there were many people watching. It is suggested that you should go to the exit as soon as possible at the end, otherwise you will not be able to squeeze out when everyone starts to run away, and the subway will be very crowded. We started to walk to the gate after watching it for three minutes. When we got out of the gate, we ran all the way to the subway station, and there were still relatively few people.
If you plan to go to Disney by subway and go to Donghui Famous City on the way, it's more cost-effective to use MTR's all-day pass.
(4) self-help shopping in Hong Kong
The larger shopping centers in Hong Kong are Causeway Bay and Harbour City. The street in front of our hotel is called Jordan Road. If you go on, you will find Tsim Sha Tsui, which is also the business district where major shopping malls gather. Because they are all famous brands, although they are discounted, they are still thousands of prices. But
is indeed a wide variety, dazzling. You can set aside a day to visit these places. Personally, I think things in Harbour City are expensive, but the style is new. Causeway Bay is a little cheaper, and the cheapest is Donghui Famous Brand City mentioned earlier.
Sasha and Zhuoyue can be seen everywhere in the streets and lanes of Hong Kong. Friends who want to buy cosmetics are blessed. The gold price in Hong Kong is indeed cheaper than that in the mainland. Shops like Zhou Shengsheng and Chow Tai Fook have to calculate the manual fee alone, but the converted gold price will still be 2% to 3% cheaper than that in the mainland. In addition, it is generally cheaper to buy watches in Hong Kong, no matter what brand.
(5) Self-help food in Hong Kong
There are many delicious foods around my hotel, among which several are recommended. Yishun milk company, double skin milk is very delicious, and his family also provides breakfast packages, which are still very affordable. I have eaten twice. The shop is small, but clean. The waiters are all uncles and aunts, and their attitudes are good. At the same time, there is an Australian milk company nearby. I have never been there, and I heard it is not bad. The most recommended restaurant is Cuihua Restaurant, and the fish and eggs are really good. Dad's favorite is the Kagoshima pig cartilage rice noodles there. The pig cartilage tastes good and has a strong taste. If you have the chance, you must eat it again. These restaurants are all located in the alley. For details, you can check Baidu map, which is easy to find. I heard that Hong Kong's Manji dessert is very good, so I want to try it. There is one in the food court on the third floor of Harbour City, but I went on the last day and left Hong Kong at noon, so I went early, and people haven't started business yet. We arrived at 9: 45, and the waiter there said it wouldn't open until 1: . We waited until ten o'clock and were told that there were only snacks and nothing left. So I had to leave with regret. It is worth mentioning that the waiter in that dessert shop has a very bad attitude. I asked her in standard Mandarin and was very polite, but she was very impatient and didn't speak clearly. It is much better for another customer to ask her in vernacular. I wonder if it is discrimination against mainlanders, and I won't go there again next time.
