What is the experience of working and living in Chengdu?

This note is mainly for non-Sichuanese foreigners to share their actual experience of Chengdu. I have a strong subjective feeling. Please correct me if there are any inaccuracies. Chengdu is the fifth city where I work and live. I decided to work and live in Chengdu because of Zhao Lei's "Chengdu" and Chengdu's vigorous publicity.

Talking about my feelings of working and living in Chengdu as a foreigner;

Work:

1, less work

Chengdu is the core city in the southwest of China, with siphon effect and huge population base, but it lacks many large manufacturing industries and large group companies. Mainly concentrated in the Internet, branches of financial companies, tourism, catering and other service industries, resulting in fewer jobs and fierce competition.

2. Low wages

Wages in Chengdu are generally not high. The salary of liberal arts is generally 6k- 15k, that of science and engineering is 10k-20k, that of functional posts is about 9k, and that of internet posts is about 15k. Fortunately, most jobs are not very busy. When you come back from a first-tier city, your salary is usually 7-8 fold.

3. Volume

Tianfu Third Street in Chengdu is a famous mass, followed by Global Center, Financial City, South Railway Station and IFS. However, if you meet a leader who likes to play mahjong after work, you can really never have to work overtime.

4. Five insurances and one gold are incomplete

The base of many companies is lower than your salary, not to mention the average salary last year.

The proportion of general provident fund is 6%- 10%, and the proportion of public, public and state-owned enterprises will be 12%.

5. Most of them are non-core positions.

Large-scale non-Sichuan enterprises are generally branches, with marginal business or average benefits, especially in the Internet industry, except for a studio. State-owned enterprises, private enterprises, Internet companies and foreign enterprises in Sichuan are also good choices.

6. Slow pace of work

The pace of work in Chengdu is about 0.6 times that of Beijing and 0.7 times that of Shanghai. The overall pace of work is not fast, so you will have a lot of time for a long chat, tea and fish.

Life:

1, comfortable and comfortable

Slow pace of work and slow pace of life. If you have a house and have less pressure in life, your rhythm will slow down involuntarily in this city, and you will feel very comfortable without stretching your body and mind every day.

2, eat more, spicy.

There are countless gourmet snacks such as hot pot, skewers, alms chicken, ice powder, cold noodles, drunken shrimp, spike potato, baked brain flower, egg cake, bean curd, barbecue and so on. Mainly spicy, you will get fat when you first come to Chengdu.

3. Convenient transportation

There are many subway lines in Chengdu, so it is convenient to go anywhere. Although driving will be blocked when it rains and holidays, it is nothing compared with the congestion of commuting in Beijing and Shanghai.

4. Mainly communicate in Sichuan dialect.

Because there are many people in this province, everyone is used to communicating in the local dialect, especially the old Chengdu people, who can't speak Mandarin very well, and foreigners sometimes don't understand it. Some companies also communicate in Sichuan dialect by default. If you don't understand it, you will be annoyed. But most people are very reasonable and will take the initiative to speak Mandarin with you.

5, cloudy day

There is little sunshine in Chengdu, especially in winter. Most of the time in a month is cloudy, but the sunshine in summer is too bright. If you really like basking in the sun, you should be careful when you come to settle in Chengdu. You can choose winter to actually feel it first.

6. School papers

More people, less schools, more competition. You should know that Chengdu is divided into circles, one circle and two circles. This difference is directly reflected in the number of students admitted and the scores. This must be understood in advance.

7. Rising house prices

The comfort of Chengdu depends on its low housing prices and slow pace, but with the rising housing prices and living expenses, it is not very friendly to Rong Piao without housing. If you can't make money and buy a house, what's the point of wandering?
