Speaking of naan, I believe the first thing everyone thinks of is the big, round and super-thick naan from Xinjiang. If you have a small appetite, one Xinjiang naan can feed several people.
However, naan bread also exists in other regions, but the production process and the shape of the finished product are different.
The more famous exotic naan in our country is probably Indian naan.
I had eaten it before when I went to a new Indian restaurant to taste the food. The Indian naan seemed to have a kind of magic. The more you chewed, the more fragrant it became, which made people fascinated.
Later, when I got home, I searched for recipes and tried to make it. I didn't expect that it was very simple to make, and it was easy for novices to operate, so I didn't have to worry about failure.
This is a simplified version of the recipe. As long as you have flour, yogurt and baking powder at home, you can make it in a pan without an oven.
Let’s take a look at the specific steps.
Yogurt, 140g naan flour/yogurt 225g, 5g baking powder/15g minced garlic/5g salt, appropriate amount of coriander 1. Add 225g yogurt and 5g baking powder to 140g flour, stir to form a dough.
Pay attention to adding the yogurt in small amounts and multiple times, as long as it can be combined into a dough, and do not make the dough too wet.
2. After kneading into a ball, cover it with plastic wrap and let it rise for 20 minutes. You don’t need to knead it too smooth, just make it into a round ball.
3. Divide the risen dough into 6 equal parts and knead into small balls.
Sprinkle some dry flour on the cutting board and use a rolling pin to roll the dough into a long strip.
4. Brush with a little oil, sprinkle with black sesame seeds, minced garlic, chopped coriander, and season with some salt.
If you don’t like cilantro, you can replace the cilantro with chopped green onions.
Or you can replace it with your favorite sweet seasoning.
5. Place the processed dough into a flat-bottomed non-stick pan. No need to add oil. Heat slowly over medium heat until bubbles form on the surface of the dough. Turn over and continue frying for 1-2 minutes.
It can be easily done without using an oven, just put it in the pan and bake it directly.
Who doesn’t have a kouguo yet?
No matter how bad it is, the inner pot of the rice cooker can be used to "battle", just press a button to turn on the heating mode.
It was also the first time for Meishijun to make it, and it was a success the first time.
The texture of the baked yogurt naan is very soft, and it tastes very fragrant and gets better and better as you eat it. It can be eaten directly or paired with curry.
If you can't finish it, you can seal it in a bag and put it in the freezer of the refrigerator. When you want to eat it, take it out and heat it in the microwave.
If you have all the ingredients, start making it right away.
