Among them was a filial son named Zhang. After his death, the neighbors felt his filial piety and built a street building with a memorial tablet for the filial son inside to show his virtue. Because this cross-street building has carved railings, people called this small street Hualou Street. It was not until 1851-1861 (the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty) that a street parallel to it was developed in the north. At that time, it was also called Hualou Street. In order to avoid confusion, the citizens named the former with the word "front" and the latter with the word "hou". Since then, the two street names of Qianhualou and Houhualou have been listed in the city.

With the municipal construction in the future, Qianhualou will be connected to Lihuangpi Road, collectively known as Lihuangpi Road. The street name Qianhualou is gradually being submerged. Houhualou extends to the riverside of Daxing Road, collectively known as Hualou Street. But only the section from Jianghan Road to Minsheng Road is still called Houhualou.

Cars and horses are rushing like people, and the singing and singing are endless late at night." The old Hualou Street described in "Hankou Bamboo Branch Ci" The scene is expected to return. It was learned from the "Urban Spatial Development Planning of Wuhan Modern Service Industry Center Area" seminar that the Longwang Temple along the river will create a traditional folk corridor, Hualou Street, an ancient road of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and restore the traditional culture of the Han Dynasty.

The entrance to Hualou Street is located between Longwang Temple Park and Yanjiang No. 1 MALL. It intersects Minquan, Minsheng and Jianghan Road vertically, and is about 1 km long.
