For marginal people, the whole research process is really very difficult. After my senior year, I began to realize that I was a marginal person in the insurance research. After careful consideration, I decided to pay attention to the postgraduate entrance examination and insurance research. Before the insurance research began, I mainly studied the contents of the postgraduate entrance examination, gave up attending the summer camp, and focused on pre-promotion and exemption. Because of the edge of the ranking, the summer camp does not have an advantage. If you don't get the number of places for insurance research, the postgraduate entrance examination will also be affected; Before the start of the pre-exemption, the school's research rankings will be announced, so you can concentrate on preparing for the research. However, there is a certain limit to taking care of both sides at the same time. At this time, we must adjust our mentality, believe in ourselves, try our best to do our best and not let ourselves regret it.

2. About choosing a school

1. Choose institutions in advance: The choice of majors and institutions serves personal planning. If you want to change careers or take the exam in the future, you can consider choosing a school with a higher comprehensive ranking, from C9 to 985 and 211. If you want to continue this major, it is recommended to choose a school with a higher ranking in professional evaluation. Priority is given to the old eight schools in architecture: Tsinghua University, Southeast University, Tongji University, Tianjin University, South China University of Technology, Chongqing University, Harbin Jianzhu University and Xi 'an University of Architecture and Technology. Secondly, there are eight new schools: Zhejiang University, Hunan University, shenyang jianzhu university, Dalian University of Technology, Huaqiao University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Nanjing University. Choose a school according to your own situation, and consider your favorite city, research direction or tutor.

2. Step-by-step school selection: Evaluate the competitiveness of majors and individuals in undergraduate colleges, and suggest step-by-step school selection. I divided the school I want to apply for graduate school into three steps. The first step is the institutions that want to sprint, Tongji University, Southeast University, Zhejiang University and Tianjin University; The second ladder section is the school where seniors and sisters studied in the past, South China University of Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, Chongqing University, etc. The third staircase is Baodi School, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Nanjing University, Dalian University of Technology, shenyang jianzhu university and so on.

I think this part of the study is essential for both postgraduate entrance examination and postgraduate study. Many schools, such as Harbin Institute of Technology, Southeast, Tongji and so on, will take the summer camp and pre-promotion exemption examination.

At the same time, students who are preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination don't have to worry too much, because the quick question of insurance research is still simpler than that of postgraduate entrance examination. 3. Senior year spring 3.1-5.1 (important preparation stage):

I started the preparation for the interview after I got the school quota. Interviews in schools are mainly divided into ppt self-introduction (4 minutes, 5 minutes, 6 minutes, etc.) and interview questions.

I divided the interview questions into five parts (self-introduction, English questions, portfolio related questions, undergraduate schools and target schools related, industry frontier dynamic issues) to sort out the questions and establish my own question base. Try to prepare each part in Chinese and English. Then recite it crazily, and try to ensure that all the prepared questions are memorized skillfully, so as to be used flexibly in the interview.

Even so, you are likely to be asked unprepared questions in the interview, so you can use the prepared questions flexibly to answer them. After each interview, make a reply and sort out the prepared questions.

(7) reference books for architecture-related majors: further understanding of behavior and space, city and architecture. Understand the methods of space design. In the interview, you will often encounter questions such as your favorite architectural books or what books you have read recently. Choosing these professional books will leave a good impression on the interviewer.

Collect the summer camp notices and announcements on the enrollment websites of colleges and universities and the WeChat official account of Baoyan. 4. Spring 5.1-8.1 for senior year (Shanghai Investment and summer camp participation stage):

If you can win the title of excellent student in summer camp, you don't have to participate in the September exemption. After obtaining the exemption qualification of our school, the research guarantee is basically successful. Therefore, the summer camp is actually an important step for you to protect your research. Use the summer camp to get the quota of your own guaranteed school, and you can bravely go to the sprint school when you are "Nine Push"!

6. Last October of the fifth year (fill in the research guarantee system)

Fill in personal information and upload personal photos as required. Then pay the registration fee online. After the filing system is opened, students who have been exempted from registration can fill in three parallel volunteer in the system at the same time, and each volunteer is not allowed to be modified within 48 hours after submission. If the volunteer fails to pass the exemption, students can fill in other volunteers. Volunteer will receive a second interview notice in the system, and after passing the second interview, you will receive a "pending admission" notice in the system. Click OK to accept in the system and you will be admitted successfully!

IV. Pre-promotion and exemption process of South China University of Technology

1. Preparation for pre-promotion and exemption:

Because I am on the edge of the insurance research, the focus of my summer vacation is on the quick questions and theory of postgraduate entrance examination. I finished my portfolio in my spare time and did not attend the summer camp, but I have been collecting information. It is suggested that the edge of Bao Yan can try to participate in the summer camp of his own postgraduate school, because many schools will have preferential policies for outstanding campers.

After the school quota was confirmed in early September, time was pressing, so we decided to adopt the sea investment method. Pay attention to official website of each target school, and protect the promotion of WeChat official account. Widely collect the pre-promotion and exemption registration time of each school, and fill in the registration form on the research and recruitment website of each school. Because each school needs different materials, the preparations made in the early stage at this time play a great role and can save a lot of time. Moreover, at this stage, only basic information is needed, and no portfolio and resume are needed, so we must make good use of it and sign up for various schools quickly. After the registration, contact the tutor by revising the portfolio.

2. Notice of exemption in advance:

South China University of Technology directly adopted the method of confirming the second interview in the registration system of official website, and it only took two days. Without timely confirmation, it would not be eligible to participate in the exemption in advance. This is extremely unfavorable to the students in Haitou School, because it is difficult to see the notice from every school. I've always kept my email, and I really only watch official website once in a while, so I almost missed the second interview notice. (Therefore, I would like to remind you that all the official website you signed up for should be set in your favorites, so that you can check it quickly every day to prevent missing key information.) After confirming the second interview, you are waiting for a notice, and the notice about the second interview is also displayed in the registration system, so you should check it carefully. I didn't read it carefully at first, until two days before the interview, I found a new interview requirement, which changed from 15 pages of ppt last year to 2 pages of PPT, so I stayed up late to modify the content urgently. (So everyone must be careful and careful again)

3. Advance interview exemption:

The overall process of advance interview exemption is basically the same as last year. First, an English question, a PPT introduction within 5 minutes and 2 pages, and several Chinese questions.

Q1: English question: South China University of Technology is still very kind. English questions are basically in the form of Chinese questions and answers in English, which reduces the difficulty. My question is an introduction to the campus design of an undergraduate school. I happen to have a work that is a school design, so this is a relatively good question I prepared.

Q2: self-introduction: 5 minutes of 2-page PPT is enough according to the control time practiced in advance. Next is the Chinese question. The three questions are all about the works in PPT, one for each work and one for each question, but they are all very detailed, so they are not within the scope of my preparation. At this time, I have to calm down and think hard before answering.

Q3: I really haven't prepared a very detailed design question in the design of Chinese medicine hospital in my portfolio, so I have to give a simple answer. So remind everyone that the design specifications of the highlights of their own monomer design still need to be understood. Some questions that you can't call yourself can go through the building data set.

Q4: Can my concept competition work be truly realized? Have you considered this aspect in the design? I didn't think of this question either. As we all know, we rarely consider whether we can really build this problem in a concept competition, but we can't directly tell the teacher that we haven't thought about it, so we used our quick wits to translate the teacher's question to answer this question from the shape rather than the structure, and the teacher actually understood that it was a concept competition and didn't embarrass me anymore. (Don't say no directly when you encounter a problem that you can't. It's always good to translate the problem and say something you know. After all, all the students who are studying in Bao Yan are excellent, and the teachers will deliberately embarrass everyone.)
