1. Yongchuan preserved eggs were created during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty (Chongqing). Yongchuan preserved eggs have a unique style: the mature preserved egg albumen and yolk both have pine leaf patterns; the albumen is dark brown or peach oil-colored amber, translucent, and elastic.
The egg yolk is yellow on the outside and green on the inside. The egg center is a colored hard core or a bright red semi-solid candy core, solid but not hard, thin but not runny.
