Liyang, Jiangsu

On September 28th, 217, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited Yangtze River Delta production base was located in Jiangsu Zhongguancun Science and Technology Industrial Park in Liyang, Jiangsu. The total investment of this project is 1 billion yuan, the land area of the project is as high as 1 mu, and the construction period of the project is 5 years, which is divided into two phases, the first phase is 92, square meters workshop, and the second phase is 125, square meters workshop. After completion, it will form an annual production capacity of 1GWH power and energy storage lithium-ion batteries, including 7GWH batteries and 3Wh power battery system. It can increase sales revenue by 2 billion yuan and create 7 new jobs.

At the end of 218, Jiangsu Times, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited, will invest more than 12 billion yuan to build the third phase of the project from November 218 to the end of 221. It is understood that the new use area of the third phase project is about 51 mu, and the new factory building exceeds 23, square meters. It is expected to start production in the second half of next year. After the project is fully mass-produced, 23 power battery and energy storage battery production lines will be added, and the design capacity will be increased by 4GWH. By then, the design capacity of the entire Jiangsu Times Liyang factory will reach 5GWH (the actual capacity is about 35GWH, and the capacity utilization rate is greater than 7%), and the estimated sales will exceed 3 billion yuan.

construction reason: why choose Liyang? Because the advanced manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Delta region is developed, there are many new energy vehicle manufacturers with superior strength. And domestic lithium battery manufacturers are mainly in North China and South China, and there are few battery enterprises in East China.

Ningde, Fujian

In April 219, Time FAW, a joint venture between Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited and FAW Group, will build a lithium-ion power battery project in Xiapu, Ningde, Fujian Province. The project is located at No.6, Fu Road, Economic Development Zone, Xiapu County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, with a total investment of no more than RMB 4.4 billion. The source of funds is self-raised by the enterprise. The project period is 36 months and the land area is about 645 mu.

on February 26th, 22, the construction of the Chewan base project of Ningde lithium battery new energy vehicle was officially started. The total investment of the project plant and its surrounding supporting facilities is about 12.5 billion yuan, and the planned total production capacity is about 45GWh, mainly producing power batteries and energy storage batteries for new energy vehicles. It is estimated that the annual output value after production will be about 5 billion yuan, and more than 4, jobs will be created.

reason for construction: Ningde aims at industries with global competitiveness by virtue of its late-comer advantage, and strives to build industries such as lithium-ion batteries, new energy vehicles and copper materials. With the construction of related projects, Ningde's industrial system will be further supplemented, and the optimal layout and structural adjustment of related industries such as new energy batteries in Ningde and even Fujian Province will be promoted. Therefore, Ningde has industrial advantages.

Xining, Qinghai

Relying on the rich lithium resources in Qinghai and the technical advantages of the Group, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited has built a production base for power and energy storage lithium batteries in Nanchuan Industrial Park, Xining City. The planned project covers an area of 2, mu, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan, which will be completed in three phases within 1 years. After the project is completed and put into operation, it can produce 5GWh lithium-ion batteries every year, with an estimated annual sales of 15 billion yuan, which is a key project to build a 1 billion lithium battery industry chain in Qinghai Province.

reason for construction: it is rich in resources. The lithium resources in Qinghai account for more than 9% of the proven reserves in China and more than 3% of the lithium resources in salt lakes in the world. Moreover, the dry, rainy, windy, anoxic and cold climate conditions in Qinghai are conducive to maintaining stable and excellent performance of lithium battery materials. Coupled with the rapid development of strategic emerging industries such as photovoltaic and wind energy, it provides a broad market space for the development of lithium industry.

Yibin, Sichuan

On September 25th, 219, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited announced that it planned to invest in the construction of a power battery manufacturing base in Yibin, Sichuan Province, with a total investment of no more than RMB 1 billion. The project is constructed in two phases. The first phase of the project is no more than 26 months from the start of construction, and the second phase of the project is planned to start within two years after the first phase is put into production. The total area of the project is about 1, mu, of which the first phase covers an area of about 4 mu and the second phase covers an area of about 6 mu. The specific land area is subject to the actual situation.

reason for construction: Sichuan is an important base of automobile industry in western China. This investment conforms to the company's strategic development plan and will further improve the company's production capacity layout to meet the needs of future business development and market expansion.

Erfort, Germany

On July 9, 218, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited signed an investment agreement with the government of Thuringia, Germany. According to the agreement, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited will set up a battery production base and an intelligent manufacturing technology research and development center in Erfort, Thuringia, the Federal Republic of Germany, with 24 million euros (about 1.87 billion yuan). The production base will be built in two phases, mainly engaged in the research and development and production of lithium-ion batteries. It is planned to be put into production in 221, and the production capacity will be 14GWh after the production in 222, which is expected to provide about 6 jobs for the local area. The products manufactured by the battery production base will be matched with world-renowned car companies such as BMW, Volkswagen, Daimler, Jaguar Land Rover and PSA.

on may 25th, 219, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited announced that it planned to increase its investment in the European power battery production and research base project to 1.8 billion euros (over 14 billion yuan). The project is located in Erfort, Thuringia, with a total investment of no more than 1.8 billion euros (including the original estimated investment of 24 million euros, and the final total investment is subject to the actual investment), and a lithium ion power battery production base and a lithium battery R&D and testing center will be built.

reason for construction: the investment in the European production and R&D base project will further enhance the production capacity and R&D capability of the European production and R&D base. After the completion of the project construction, it is conducive to optimizing the company's global production layout, in line with the company's international strategic planning and long-term development.
