Crispy Pork Grass Carp is one of the main specialties of the Yangtze River Reservoir. It is a special species cultivated by using the mineral water of the Yangtze River Reservoir, using comprehensive feed and using long-flow water breeding methods. Its food is different from ordinary Grass Carp, but mulberry leaves and broad beans.
.
But the discovery of this breeding method was purely accidental.
Ming Ge, the person in charge of the restaurant, is a resident of the area near the Yangtze River Reservoir. He told reporters about an "ancient story" circulated among local villagers: Back then, a crispy meat carp swam into a pit near Fuhuo Village and was caught by a villager.
I took it home and cooked it. Unexpectedly, when I took a bite, it felt extremely crispy and I realized that this was not an ordinary catfish.
The Hakka families gathered in the Yangtze River Reservoir area were relatively superstitious at the time. The villager thought he had accidentally eaten the legendary "holy fish" and suddenly became uneasy.
However, soon someone else caught and tasted the "crispy meat carp", and a "secret" hidden among the grass carps in the Yangtze River reservoir was slowly revealed.
In 2009, Dongsheng Town held the first Crispy Pork Basil Food Festival.
