After the New Year, my eldest sister living in Dechang invited us to visit Dechang. She said that Dechang had just opened a new scenic spot and we could check in.

Dechang is less than 50 kilometers away from Xichang, the seat of Liangshan Prefecture, and takes half an hour's drive on the west section of the Beijing-Kunming Expressway.

Dechang County is part of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province.

The Anning River passes through the city, opening up a large opening in Dechang County, hence the terms Hedong and Hexi.

The main city is built on a wide and gentle dam on the west bank of the Anning River.

Hedong mainly provides convenience for vehicles traveling around the city. There are buildings but the scale is far smaller than that of Hexi. The Dechang Toll Station of the Expressway is built in Hedong.

Hedong and Hexi are connected by two bridges across the Anning River. The two bridges are not far apart and can clearly see each other.

Due to the superior climatic conditions, many tourists from other places come to spend the winter and spend the summer.

Every winter, groups of elderly people come to Dechang to spend the winter like migratory birds. For three to five days or several months, relatives' homes and B&Bs and inns become their habitat.

My eldest sister is one of these "migratory birds".

She and her brother-in-law spend a quarter of each year in Dechang.

I started my travel trip from Chengdu to Dechang in November. I basked in the sun and returned from Dechang to Chengdu at the end of February. I basically didn’t experience the coldness of the severe winter. I basically never tried to spend the winter with air conditioning or heating on. I felt as free as a "migratory bird".

We came to Dechang mainly because we wanted to eat the bowl of mutton that we had been thinking about.

There are many mutton restaurants in Dechang. Bowls of mutton, stir-fried mutton liver, and mutton rice noodles are all very special. They are the first delicacies that locals eat every day.

Of course, there are many shops, but the taste is not the same. The small shop that the eldest sister took us to is located in the main city. It has a small storefront and not many tables, but it has a lot of diners, mostly locals and tourists.

The old rule is to start with 4 bowls of mutton and a portion of mutton blood soup.

You can make the dipping water yourself, and the seasonings are rich and you can put them according to your own preference.

First, take two sips of the soup with a spoon to moisten your mouth and open your taste buds.

The mutton is stewed just right, the bones and meat can be peeled off, and when you dip it in the seasoning, your mouth will be filled with the fragrance of the mutton in an instant.

The mutton soup is made with multiple doses of Chinese herbal medicine. It does not have the mutton smell of mutton, but only has the aroma of Chinese herbal medicine. This is different from the way mutton is cooked in other places in Sichuan, including the famous Jianyang mutton.

The mutton blood soup is served with pea tips. The mutton blood is tender and the pea tips are fragrant. Cooked with mutton stock, it is delicious and refreshing.

This kind of delicacy will make you scoop at least two or three bowls of rice, and finally you have to finish the soup so that you can be relieved of the little thing you have been thinking about.

After having enough meat and rice, we drove to Haihuagou, a newly built cultural landscape in Dechang.

The scenic spot is less than 10 kilometers away from the county seat. Next to the Beijing-Kunming Expressway and National Highway 108, the small land is called "Mashui River".

Following the navigation led us into the mountains. There were many vehicles that were diverted, and a long line of vehicles were jammed on the narrow country road.

With great difficulty, we turned the vehicle back to National Highway 108, and driving a little further forward was the entrance to the scenic spot.

Haihuagou is a national-level tourist resort that relies on the natural environment to combine agriculture, culture and tourism to build a physical and mental healing ecosystem that integrates vacation and residence, healing and health preservation, outdoor sports, ecological farming and animal husbandry, and culture and art.

, starting a new naturalistic lifestyle.

The resort covers an area of ??31 square kilometers and is built on the Mashui River Basin. It extends along the highway bridge into the ravine. The park has corridors, trails, observation decks, seasonal flowers and huge walnut trees.

The land on both sides of the river has been enclosed, and the model houses in the scenic area have attracted many tourists. Living in this place with mountains, water and views should be a good choice.

But as far as I know, the Mashui River in the rainy season is like a wild horse running wild and floods. I wonder if this disadvantageous factor was considered when developing this place?

The park opened during the Spring Festival, and the "gou" was crowded with people. In addition to locals, there were also many foreign tourists.

The construction of the resort has laid a solid foundation for the upgrading of "Livable in Dechang" and "Living in Dechang". This small border county in southwest Sichuan will be increasingly known and recognized by the world.
