This is Xitou Village, located in the northeast of Liangkou Town, Conghua, a suburb of Guangzhou. It is one of the three major sources of Liuxi River.

This is my third visit to Xitou Village. Two of them were specifically for Xitou Village and I stayed here for one night. The third time was when I walked to Xitou Village and then took a bus back.

The route is different and the feeling is different.

But I always have a lot of fun and relieve stress every time. This may be the charm of nature.

When we came here for the first time, we specially took a bus to the entrance of Xitou Village. The focus was to feel the simple folk customs here and get close to nature.

At the entrance of the village, we were attracted by a farm. There are many B&Bs and farms here, all decorated in a literary and artistic style, which is a style preferred by young people.

At the farm, you can taste the special dishes of bamboo tube rice and fresh bamboo shoots (depending on the season). The prices of the dishes are not bad, similar to those in the city, but they are more original.

Walking in from the entrance of the village is the market of Xitou Village. The market will be very lively in the morning and evening.

There are various agricultural products in the market: green plums, dried bamboo shoots, dried sweet potatoes, etc., as well as some handicrafts made of bamboo tubes, as well as the special delicacies here: bamboo tube rice, freshly ground sesame paste and landscape tofu.

Every time I come here, I bring some specialties home. I feel like this is the only way to prove that I have been here.

When we were staying, we met the very kind hosts of the B&B, an elderly couple. They patiently explained to us the nearby attractions and travel routes. They also helped us prepare breakfast and arranged a room with the best view for us.

In the evening, I walked around the village. There were many fruit trees here, and I could see the sunset on the road. In the evening, I sat with my friends at the table on the roof, eating melon seeds and chatting.

I got up early the next day and opened the door. The air was very fresh in the morning. What I didn't expect was that I could actually see the sea of ??clouds on the side of the mountain. I picked up the camera to record it.

There is a stream walking further into Xitou Village. The water is very clear. This should be a classic hiking route: the stream tracing line.

When the sun comes out, many tourists will play in the water under the bridge to enjoy the coolness and relieve the heat. You can take off your shoes and sit on the rocks, put your feet on the stream, and feel the coolness of the stream slowly flowing through your feet.

I couldn't bear to leave even after I sat down.

Xitou Village is also known as the "Beauty Village". It may be because it is rich in beauties or the people who come here are beauties. It may also be because after coming here, they will become more beautiful and handsome.

Go out to the exit of Xitou Village and walk along another road to reach a waterfall: Qianlonggou Waterfall. This waterfall requires a ticket, but we did not go in.

On the way, there will be more farms where you can stop to take a rest and taste the farm’s specialties. We ordered wood-fired turkey, fresh bamboo shoots, and mountain snails, which tasted really good.

Xitou Village has unique beauty all year round. In spring, you can enjoy plum blossoms, and the characteristic Sanhua plum here is in full bloom; in summer, you can swim along the stream and enjoy the coolness to escape the heat; in autumn, you can enjoy maple leaves; in winter, you can dig winter bamboo shoots and taste the freshly made ones.

There is a large bamboo forest on the road. When the wind blows, the bamboos move with the wind, and the beautiful music of nature sounds, which is very comfortable.
