Creation background
A.D. 1072 (five years in Xining, Song Shenzong) was written by General Hangzhou. On June 27th this year, I visited the West Lake, saw the wonderful lakes and mountains on the boat, and then went upstairs to Wang Hu to drink and wrote these five quatrains. This poem is the first one.
Brief introduction of the author
Su Shi (1037-11year), born in Meizhou (now Meishan, Sichuan), was a writer, calligrapher and painter in the Northern Song Dynasty. With his father Su Xun and his brother Su Zhe, they are also called "Three Sus".
