At present, the museum of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture has collected more than 654.38+ 10,000 pieces of cultural relics, of which more than 654.38+0.800 pieces have been identified as national precious cultural relics, and a large number of folk cultural relics have yet to be identified. For decades, the museum has held a series of influential exhibitions, mainly including: Xiangxi Tujia and Miao folk customs exhibition, which introduces the unique national culture created by Tujia and Miao people in their long-term production and life practice; "Historical Exhibition of Revolutionary Bases in Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan and Guizhou" introduces the brilliant achievements of the Second and Sixth Corps of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army led by He Long and Ren Bishi in establishing revolutionary bases in Xiangxi. The exhibition of Xiangxi Victory Memorial Hall introduces the epic history of eliminating bandits in Xiangxi for a hundred years and enabling people of all ethnic groups in Xiangxi to live a peaceful and happy life under the powerful offensive of China People's Liberation Army in the early days of the founding of New China.
The museum currently has 23 employees, forming a professional system and working system for museum work. Museums have become an important place for national unity and progress education and revolutionary tradition education, and an important window for the outside world to understand Xiangxi.
