Arrive in Suzhou on Day 1 in the evening and settle in the hotel. Because the ancient city is located in the geographical center of Suzhou, it is relatively convenient to go anywhere. With enough food and wine, you can wander around all the shops and mysterious views. Several cafe along the river on the south side of Dongkou Cufang Bridge provide open-air seats in hot weather, which is still very good as a place to rest. If you want to listen to Suzhou traditional pingtan, Pinfang Tea Room under the veranda on the west side of Xuanmiaoguan Square performs every day, and you only need to pay for the tea, which should not be cheaper than 15 yuan/person. If you want to listen to more authentic or formal occasions, the Guangyu Bookstore at the first day gate of Gongxiang is more suitable. This house is the first signboard of Suzhou Bookstore, but I wonder if there is an evening performance.
DAY2: Today's tour is mainly about exploring the alleys, so renting a bicycle through the alleys of Suzhou is economical, convenient and labor-saving. See Appendix 3 for the rental point. Breakfast can be started with a bowl of noodles in Suzhou. Zhu Hongxing, Lu Changxing, Tong Dexing and Huang Tianyuan have many chain stores in the urban area, and there is also a chain store of Lvyang wonton featuring wonton and soup packets, which can be solved well in 1 yuan, and the taste is good.
The tour starts at the entrance of Pingjiang Road, Baojili Bridge on Baita East Road. (Bus No.71 Pingjiang Road Station) Pingjiang Road is the most intact area in the water lane system of Suzhou ancient city. Under the guidance of Mr. Ruan Sanyi, an urban construction expert, it has maintained the traditional style of repairing the old as before. Personally, I think its scenery is no less than other Jiangnan towns. There is a "half garden" about 5 meters east of Baita Road. Everything in the garden is only half: the bridge is only half (meaning the width) and the pavilion is half. It used to be a tea room, but now it's a hotel. But if you are lucky, the doorman will let you in without charge. After all, the area is not very large.
Cross Baita East Road and start to enter the essence of Pingjiang Absolute Reserve. Half-broken stone bridges, dangerous buildings near the river, dilapidated old houses, gravel-paved alleys, and stone steps extending into the river may help you find traces of life in the remnants of history. If you travel south to Huxiang emissary lane, you can see a pair of double bridges perpendicular to each other (Zhouzhuang is just like this, and there is no need to buy tickets here, and there is no crowded flow of people in Zhouzhuang. The artistic conception of Jiangnan can only be realized in such an environment). The straight bridge belongs to Pingjiang Road, and the high arch on the side connects Caohu Xuxiang. This double bridge pattern is also found in Daliuzhi Lane and Daxinqiao Lane below. Crossing Cangjie Street to the east in Daxinqiao Lane (there is a newly opened Wudi family hotel on Cangjie Street, which feels like a small family, and if you live here, you can appreciate the taste of people in the alley) is the famous Lotus Garden (2 yuan) in Suzhou. In fact, you can't find lotus roots in the lotus garden, because there are two gardens on the left and right sides of the owner's house, so it is called the even garden, and then it is renamed the more poetic lotus garden. The main landscape of the Lotus Garden is the Yellowstone rockery in the garden, where the "Dream in the Garden" was filmed. Further south, turn at Zhongzhangjia Lane to reach the Quanjin Guild Hall, which is now the Opera Museum, with the only existing ancient stage in Suzhou. There is also a courtyard-style pingtan bookstore next to the Quanjin Guild Hall. When you are tired of playing, it is also very enjoyable to ask for a cup of tea to listen to pingtan.
Continue to the south to Ganjiang Road. When you stand at the bridge, you can see the twin towers standing opposite. Cross the road obliquely and enter the Guantaiwei River area. Turn right and the second bridge (there is a pavilion by the bridge) is Dinghui Temple Lane, which has three scenic spots: the Twin Towers (8 yuan), Wu Zuoren Art Museum and Dinghui Temple. In particular, the westernmost Dinghui Temple (free of charge) is small, but the two big ginkgo trees in the temple and the jingling wind chimes on the cornices of the main hall really make people feel clean.
Go back to Guantaowei River, continue to the Wangxing Bridge in Shizi Street and turn left. At the east end is the headquarters of Suzhou University, where the former Soochow University was located (it is also good to walk inside, with lush vegetation, and the tall 19th century western architecture will give you the feeling of being abroad. ) Around the big lawn on the south side is the essence of architecture.
It's almost noon here, so we can have lunch at Phoenix Street nearby. See Appendix 4 for the recommendation of surrounding dining. Take Shizi Street, Renmin Road and Nanmen Road to Panmen Scenic Area in the afternoon (tickets for 25 yuan and Dengruiguang Tower 6 yuan). Panmen is the most complete existing land and water gate in China, and the scale of the whole scenic spot is quite large. Finally, I returned to Canglang Pavilion (2 yuan) on Renmin Road. There is an archway at the door, opposite the Confucian Temple (free of charge), and the Suzhou antique market is in the Confucian Temple (interested friends can also bargain with the stall owners. Those little things are not expensive, and they may even give you treasures! )
at night, it is recommended to visit shiquan street, a gathering place for nightlife in Suzhou. Friends who haven't experienced Suzhou Teahouse can go to Qiantang Tea Man (tea-funded 5 yuan) at the intersection of Wuqieqiao in Shiquan Street or Water Paradise (tea-funded 38 yuan) at Fenghuang Street in Shiquan Street. The evening performance starts at 5 o'clock and lasts until 2 o'clock in the middle of the night. Rich refreshments and snacks are absolutely full. In particular, Qiantang Tea People have a pingtan performance at 8 o'clock every night, and the decoration is also very traditional in China. Shiquan Street is a famous bar street in Suzhou! The beautiful women and castles there are the hottest bars in Suzhou! Don't go in, you may be slaughtered for thousands after drinking a glass of wine! )
DAY3: You can go to Jinji Lake Hubin Avenue (No.68 Xinsu International Hotel Station, 37.28.46 Hubin Avenue Station) in the morning. Hubin Avenue is a landscape design carried out by Yi Dao Company of the United States. From north to south, it is a combination of camphor garden, city square, yacht dock, underwater stage and lakeside promenade. It is about 2 kilometers long and the landscape is quite chic and modern. It can be called Daling in China. You can also choose to take a speedboat there, ride a tandem bike, and immediately take a boat to Boxin Island in the middle of the lake.
when you get out of Hubin Avenue, take No.37 and No.68 to Xiaorihui Bridge Station, then change from the original platform to No.7 and get off at Xinmin Bridge. Go back 1m meters and you will find Shantang Street. What is being repaired now is the first phase of Shantang Old Street. If there is enough time, I suggest that Shantang Street can continue to walk in the direction of Tiger Hill after finishing it. After crossing Xinmin Bridge, Shantang Street is closer to the reality of life, and many old Suzhou life scenes are still preserved there. (Now the official residence bar there is very popular. At noon, you can solve the lunch problem at Shilu Road. In the afternoon, you can get off at Xinshi Road Station No.7 and No.7, which is opposite to Xumen Ship Wharf. At about 2 pm, there is a yacht (3 yuan) around the upper reaches of the ancient city water, surrounding the ancient city of Suzhou with a history of 2,5 years. End this tour.
Appendix 1. Suzhou Economic Hotel recommends

Appendix 3. Bicycle rental point in Suzhou

Suzhou Tour Tips:

2. It's best not to take a tricycle in Suzhou. Never listen to what water town folk garden, Yiyuan Garden and Lotus Garden are recommended by drivers from other places with extremely low fares. They just want kickbacks and will recommend you where to live and play. If you believe it, you will be cheated.

4. There are fake monks in the North Temple Pagoda and some temples in Dongxishan, extorting foreign tourists on the grounds of fortune telling
