Dear, I am from Chongqing. I would like to recommend to you how to have fun in Chongqing: Route features: Anti-Japanese War situation, world heritage, high gorges and flat lakes, ancient town style, charming night view, all of Chongqing in five days.
Route design: D1 Hongyan Revolution Memorial Hall → Geleshan Martyrs Cemetery → Bai Gongguan → Zhazi Cave → Ciqikou Ancient Town D2 Dazu Rock Carving Art Group D3 Furong River Scenic Area → Furong Cave D4 Gongtan Ancient Town → Youyang Wujiang Gallery → Apeng River D5
Liberation Monument → Chaotianmen Square route guide: On your first day in Chongqing, you must visit the Hongyan Revolution Memorial Hall, Geleshan Martyrs Cemetery, Bai Gongguan, and Zhazidong. These places are all concentrated near the Martyrs Tomb in Shapingba District, only a few meters apart.
A few kilometers away.
In these places, you will find many familiar events and names, such as General Yang Hucheng of the Xi'an Incident, Little Luobotou in the textbook, Jiang Jie Jiang Zhujun, etc.
A morning visit is equivalent to a complete patriotic education.
About 5 minutes' walk from the Martyrs' Tomb toward Beibei, you will see an archway with the inscription "Ciqikou" on the fork in the road, and you will arrive at Ciqikou Ancient Town.
Regardless of the scenery, this place is definitely a world for diners: the most authentic Maoxuewang, the less famous chicken offal and bean curd, and the twists that even the locals like very much.
Among them, the most famous one is Chen Mahua, which is freshly fried and sold, sweet and crispy, with hot and cold flavors. It is very different from other places - as can be seen from the queue at the door.
When foreign tourists come here, remember to walk more into the ancient town. Cheap and good food is hidden deep in the town.
We stayed at a hotel in Shapingba in the evening. The accommodation here is relatively cheap and the transportation is very convenient.
In addition, Southwest University of Political Science and Law and Sichuan University are nearby.
If you have enough time, you can go shopping on campus (Chongqing people have a saying that "girls from outside Sichuan are like men from Xizheng").
Accommodation: Shapingba District, Chongqing City, you can directly check into the room of Huanghua New Era for easy check-in.
The next day, I spent the entire day visiting the Dazu Rock Carvings.
The Dazu Rock Carvings were rated as a "World Cultural Heritage" by the UNESCO. They were first built in the late Tang Dynasty and lasted from the Five Dynasties to the Southern Song Dynasty until the war.
The stone carving groups are divided into Beishan, Nanshan and Baodingshan.
Among them, Baodingshan stone carvings are the most concentrated, integrating culture, art and religion.
The Dazu Rock Carvings are a cultural landscape with very rich connotations. It is best to listen to the tour guide's explanations or do your homework before setting off, otherwise the appreciation of the stone carving culture will be greatly reduced.
You can hire a tour guide, which costs about 80 yuan/group; or you can wait at the entrance of Baoding and enjoy the tour group's explanation.
Consider a farmhouse for lunch. Youting crucian carp is a specialty here. Don’t forget to try it when you come to Dazu.
You can also have lunch at the food street in front of Baoding Mountain.
When you return to Chongqing city in the evening, you can continue to stay in the hotel the day before, or you can stay in a hotel near Chaotianmen to facilitate your trip tomorrow.
Accommodation: near Shangqing Temple or Dazu in downtown Chongqing. It’s convenient and fast to take a bus, and people are not tired.
On the third day, we went to Wulong County next to Chongqing City.
There are many scenic spots in Wulong County: Furong River, Tiankeng Third Bridge, Fairy Mountain, Fengdu Ghost Town, etc.
However, in one day, you can only choose one or two scenic spots to visit in detail.
You can choose Furong River as your destination.
Take a long-distance bus from Chaotianmen Bus Station to Wulong for 3 hours (fare 65 yuan), then take the bus from Wulong to Jiangkou Town, and then transfer to Jiangkou Town; you can also rent a car after arriving in Wulong.
Along the way you can see the scenery of Furong River Dam.
For meals, you can order the special bacon here at the farmhouse in the scenic area. In addition, if you have enough money, you might as well try the Wujiang fish along the Wujiang River. The meat is fresh and delicious.
Stay in Jiangkou Town at night. There are many hotels in the town, and the standard rooms only cost a few dozen yuan.
In particular, the terraces of some hotels face the Wujiang River Roundabout. The scenery is amazing and it is a pleasure to stay here.
Accommodation: Farmhouse in Jiangkou Town to experience the rural style.
Get up early on the fourth day and take a 30-minute drive from Jiangkou Town to Pengshui. Then spend 20 yuan to take a motorcycle to Wanzu in 20 minutes. Then take a boat from Wanzu for about five hours (15 yuan, transfer to Hongdu on the way)
) and arrived at today’s destination—Gongtan.
(Actually, there is a bus from Pengshui directly to Gongtan, but it only leaves in the morning and the road condition is not very good.) You can stay in the ancient town at night for 10 to 20 yuan per person.
Or return to Chongqing city. There are two options for the return trip: one is to take the bus from Gongtan to Youyang (fare is about 20), and then take the bus from Youyang back to Chongqing Caiyuanba Bus Station or Chaotianmen Long-distance Bus Station (fare is about 20)
The price is about 130 yuan); the second is to take a bus from Youyang Gongtan to Xiushan, and then take a train back to Chongqing.
Accommodation: Gongtan Ancient Town or near Shangqing Temple in downtown Chongqing.
The fifth day is the last day, so let’s take a walk around the city.
Chongqing is a place rich in beautiful women, so you must go to the city center - Jiefangbei to feast your eyes.
This is the largest commercial center in Chongqing, with pedestrian streets running across several blocks and numerous shopping malls nearby.
