According to the planning of Shenzhen flood control project, there is a flood detention area in the north of Honghu Lake, so this lake with a storage capacity of 2.5 million cubic meters is called Honghu Lake. Before the park was built, it was a large flood detention area. 1984, the municipal government decided to build the flood detention area between Sungang Road and Nigang Road in Luohu District into a comprehensive park and named it Honghu Park. Honghu Park is a lake park with water landscape as the main feature. The waterscape is still beautiful, the clear lake is sparkling and the egrets in the lake are picturesque.
