The main cities in Sichuan Province are Chengdu, Nanchong, Dazhou, Mianyang and Liangshan.
1. Chengdu
Chengdu, also known as Rongcheng, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, the provincial capital, a national historical and cultural city and the world food capital. Dujiangyan, located in Guankou Town, Dujiangyan City, Chengdu, is a large-scale water conservancy project built in ancient times in China and used up to now. It is known as "the originator of world water conservancy culture" and is a famous tourist attraction in China.
2. Nanchong City
Nanchong City, also known as "Fruit City and Silk Capital", is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, a regional central city of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration and a political, economic and cultural center of northeast Sichuan. Located in Nanchong City, Langzhong Ancient City Scenic Area is a national 5A-level tourist scenic spot, located in the northeast of Sichuan Basin, in the middle and upper reaches of Jialing River. It is known as "Langyuan Wonderland, a land of geomantic omen", surrounded by water on three sides and mountains on all sides.
3. Dazhou City
Dazhou City is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, a natural gas energy and chemical base in western China, a transportation hub, a cultural and commercial center and an ecologically livable regional central city in the junction of Sichuan, Chongqing, Hubei and Shaanxi. Phoenix Mountain is the largest urban park in Dazhou, and it is also the main place for Dacheng people's "Yuanjiu Denggao Festival". There are mainly Phoenix Tower, Phoenix Pavilion, Red Army Pavilion, Songjun Pavilion, Yuan Zhen Memorial Hall, Xisheng Temple and other scenic spots.
4. Mianyang City
Mianyang City, called Mianzhou in ancient times, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, located in the northwest of Sichuan Basin and in the middle and upper reaches of Fujiang River. Located in Mianyang City, Beichuan Qiangcheng Tourist Area is composed of Beichuan Earthquake Ruins, Beichuan New County, Beichuan Earthquake Memorial Hall, Beichuan Qiang Folk Museum, Gina Qiang Village, West Tourist Center and other attractions.
5. Liangshan Prefecture
Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture is an autonomous prefecture under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province. Lushan Mountain, located in Liangshan Prefecture, is one of the provincial-level scenic spots in Sichuan, on the south bank of Qionghai, 5 kilometers south of Xichang. It faces Qionghai in the east, Anning River in the west, Xichang in the north and Luoji Mountain in the south.
