Midu County delicacies include Daquan carved plum pork, casserole fish, Midu rolled hoof, Quanheqing braised liver, sour pickles, Yinjie yellow noodles, Mizhi tofu, etc.

1. Daquan carved plum meat: carved plum is a traditional special food of the Bai people in Dali, Yunnan. It is collected from green plums in spring. Local girls carve patterns on them, then gently press them into chrysanthemum-shaped and zigzag-shaped plum cakes, and put them on top.

Put it into a basin of clear water, sprinkle with a little salt to remove the sour taste of the plums, then put it in a sand jar, and then soak it with high-quality brown sugar and honey for several months. When the plum cake turns golden brown, you can take it out of the jar and eat it.

2. Fish Casserole: It is one of the famous local dishes in Dali. It is made by slowly stewing more than ten kinds of fresh wax ingredients such as tender chicken slices and mushrooms, plus bow fish or carp from Erhai Lake.

3. Midu Curled Hoof: Use clean and intact pig trotters and pork tenderloin or lean pork hind legs. Because it has the same shape as fresh pig trotters, it is called "curled hoof".

The traditional Midu rolled hoof has good color and aroma, slightly sour, fresh and sour, and has a unique flavor.

4. Quanheqing Liver Blowing: A pork liver recipe often used by ethnic groups in northwest Yunnan. It has a refreshing taste.

5. Sour pickles: Midu’s unique Xinglong-fired clay pots and Midu’s specialty white-stem green vegetables can be used to pickle Midu’s sour pickles with excellent fragrance, which is a four-season appetizer suitable for young, old, women and children.

6. Yinjie Yellow Noodles: Boiled with bean starch, it has a long history. It was famous for its pure color and taste as early as 400 years ago.

7. Mizhi tofu: unique traditional craft, made with special physalis water and boiled in pearl spring water.

White tofu, hairy (stinky) tofu, you can fry, boil, steam, stir-fry, pan-fry, soy milk or bean curd, suitable for both hot and cold, rich in nutrients and excellent taste, it is a tofu feast of its own.
