It is said that Emperor Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty praised him after eating a peach blossom meal: "There are no treasures in the world, and peach blossoms and fragrant rice come to fairyland." Since then, Qianyang Taohuami has become famous and was chosen as a palace tribute.

Peach blossom rice has become a sacred object in the court since the Tang and Song Dynasties. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, peach blossom rice even became a bribe for local rich gentry to pursue high office and high salary. During Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty, Luo Siju, a squire of Xuanhan County, won the position of Marshal of Military Forces from Emperor Jiaqing for two liters of peach blossom rice. In 28 years of the Republic of China, Huang Baoxuan, a squire in Xuanhan County, came to Chongqing with peach blossom rice on his back, and delivered the rice pro to Chiang Kai-shek. Jiang was pleased to reward Huang Yi as the magistrate of Xuanhan County.

From 65438 to 0977, Taohuami participated in the Canton Fair and was favored by Chinese and foreign customers. Nowadays, as one of Sichuan high-quality rice with local characteristics, Qianyang Taohua rice has been listed as a key development project of high-quality agricultural products in the province. It not only looks beautiful and tastes sticky, but also tastes good and contains high nutritional elements. According to historical records, it is rich in vitamins, which can prevent beriberi and oral inflammation, and has the functions of invigorating spleen and regulating stomach, clearing away lung-heat, invigorating spleen and nourishing stomach, benefiting body fluid and strengthening brain, harmonizing five internal organs and dredging blood vessels.
