Not long after Sun Wukong was born, he was suppressed by the Tathagata under the Five Elements Mountain because he caused trouble in the Heavenly Palace, disrupted order, and refused to change despite repeated admonitions.
It was quite painful, for five hundred years!
Five hundred years in heaven is just a blink of an eye. After all, in the stories of gods and demons, it is "a year on earth and a day in heaven."
Therefore, only five hundred days have passed for Tathagata Buddha.
But Wukong in the mortal world is not so comfortable anymore.
Five hundred years not only required suppressing inner restlessness, but also enduring hunger and cold.
Then the question arises, did Sun Wukong perform any activities during the five hundred years he spent under the Five Elements Mountain?
What did he eat and drink?
You might as well keep reading.
In fact, fundamentally speaking, Sun Wukong has the body of a saint and he no longer needs to eat and drink every day to stay alive.
But in fact Sun Wukong ate something and was fed by others!
The Tathagata pressing Sun Wukong under the Five Fingers Mountain was just to train Sun Wukong. According to the original book, if you are hungry, eat copper and iron balls, and if you are thirsty, drink the juice of the melted copper and iron balls.
But seeing that: The Tathagata said goodbye to the Jade Emperor and the gods, and went out of the gate of heaven with the two lords. He had a compassionate heart, chanted the mantra, summoned an earth god from the Five Elements Mountain, and together with the five directions, he revealed the truth and lived here.
The mountain prisoner said: "But when he is hungry, give him iron balls to eat; when he is thirsty, give him molten copper juice to drink. When he is full of calamities, someone will save him." It can be seen that Tathagata takes good care of Sun Wukong, and he also takes good care of him.
He specially ordered the earth and mountain gods to take care of Sun Wukong's food.
Some people think what the hell is this, copper and iron juice, is this edible?
Can this also be called gourmet food?
You don’t understand here, Tathagata distributes food according to Sun Wukong’s attributes!
Sun Wukong had eaten the elixir, drank the royal wine, and practiced in the alchemy furnace for seventy-seven forty-nine days, and he had already developed an indestructible body.
At this time, eating copper and iron is to strengthen Sun Wukong's inner power of elixir.
Later, he said that after the disaster was over, someone would naturally save him.
And this he is Tang Seng.
It seems that all this is under the control of Tathagata Buddha.
Although Tathagata calmed down the war by suppressing Sun Wukong under the Five Fingers Mountain.
Therefore, in order to entertain the Tathagata, the Jade Emperor specially brought out dragon liver, phoenix marrow and other delicacies to enjoy together.
