The length is 32mm-38mm and the width is 16mm- 19mm. It is similar to stinkbug T.papillosa(Drury), but the front of this species is nearly square, the back is oval, and the back is light brown to yellowish brown. The abdomen is dark brown and often covered with white powder. Small head, short triangle, black side. Compound eyes are dark yellow. The antenna is brown-black to black. The front corner of the chest backboard is round and blunt, and the side corner is nearly right-angled. This area is flat and thin. There is a narrow black edge on the side. The side edge is narrow, reddish brown to dark brown. The front wing is yellowish brown, and the diaphragm reaches the end of the abdomen. The beak is dark brown and extends to the center of the middle plate of the chest and abdomen. Dark brown feet. The trailing edge of the ninth web of the male reproductive node is hardly concave.
