Guilin tour is mainly divided into two parts: Guilin city tour and Yangshuo tour.

1. Guilin tour.

For general group tours in Guilin, the traditional attractions are nothing more than Elephant Trunk Mountain, Fubo Mountain Park, Qixingyan Park, Ludiyan Park, etc. In fact, these scenic spots are not much different from the city parks you have visited, except for two

Cave.

If it is purely for the scenery, it can be briefly mentioned. Personally, it is better not to focus on the details.

However, you must go to Binjiang Road. If you take a scenic walk along Binjiang Road, you can roughly appreciate Guilin's landscapes - Qingluo belt and jade hairpin.

The Elephant Trunk Hill Park is also in this section.

Across Binjiang Road are various restaurants - Guangxi style, Guilin style, Japanese style, Italian style... there are too many to mention, as well as a large number of souvenir shops.

At night, the lights are brighter and more popular. The streets are lined with small stalls selling all kinds of souvenirs, including Guilin specialties, Guangxi specialties and even Vietnamese ones.

The more distinctive ones include: osmanthus sachets, dried osmanthus (can be made into tea or stuffed with osmanthus jam), hydrangeas, silver jewelry, Luo Han Guo (can clear away heat and detoxify, drink soaked in water to cure colds), persimmons (very sweet), etc.

There is also a good place to view the mountains and rivers - under the Jiefang Bridge.

After getting off the bus at the terminal of No. 11 bus, I walked across the Jiefang Bridge, went down the stairs, and sat on the high protective embankment. Opposite was Fubo Mountain, and in front of me was a stream of flowing water, with some vegetation growing in the middle.

Reed is best in the evening. When you look up, you can see a charming red sunset, embedded in the middle of a few low-rise buildings, with a faint golden glow.

May is probably a relatively hot season. Many people who live by the river swim in the water. In some water sections, the current is quite fast and they swirl forward. People just follow the flow of the water.

And when you look at it for a long time, you will actually be moved - who says this is not a kind of skill or courage!

There is another such viewing spot, from Shanghai Road to Putuo Road, which is the direction of the branch of Guangxi Normal University. Downstairs of the Guilin Radio Station, you can also be alone with the Guilin landscape in peace and quiet.

My classmates and I often ride bikes to this place on weekends. We don't talk, and our moods follow the water, wave after wave, like water plants.

What's even more interesting is that there are many stones of various shapes on the shore, which are suitable for floating in the water or picking them up and painting them with non-fading pigments and then applying a coat of bright paint. It is nothing more than an exquisite souvenir.

In the evening, you can also go to the central square of Guilin.

You can sit on the wrought iron flower chairs to watch the wide-screen news, blow the night breeze, eat popcorn and chat. During major festivals, you can also enjoy the musical fountain - which can reach up to 60 meters high and is said to be the largest in South China.

The tallest musical fountain.

In addition - Zhengyang Street is also a must-go!

Zhengyang Street is the only pedestrian street in Guilin. It has just been opened less than a year ago. The block is not wide nor long, but the whole street is very neat and exquisite, and the facade decoration has its own characteristics, which is suitable for taking pictures.

The main content ranges from clothing to audio and video to food and drink to local specialties.

You can also drink tea at the tea bar in the evening, and the cost is generally not high.

In addition to the above places, if you have enough time, you can also enjoy the lake in Guilin.

Guilin has many lakes, among which Rong Lake and Gui Lake are the best.

Ronghu Lake is opposite the Guilin Daily, directly facing the Guilin Municipal Library and Guilin Hotel. There is also a Huang Tingjian horse-tying stone by the lake, I don't know if it is true.

The ancient south gate on the north bank of Rong Lake is an ancient city from the Northern Song Dynasty. The big banyan tree in front of the gate is said to have been built during the city construction.

The three characters "Gu Nanmen" are said to have been written by Guo Moruo himself.

I have seen people fishing here in the middle of summer.

Guihu Lake is in the direction of Xishan Park and can be reached by taking bus No. 14 opposite Smile Hall.

To the south of Guihu Lake is Old Man Mountain, which is very quiet and free. It is suitable for meditating or reciting.

If it's not enough, you can go to Yaoshan to play.

Take bus No. 10 in the direction of Guilin Institute of Electronics Industry.

In spring, azalea flowers bloom all over the mountain, which is extraordinary.

It is the first choice for spring outings for students in Guilin.

The main means of transportation for traveling in Guilin can be buses. The main road in Guilin is Zhongshan Road. Bus No. 11 runs through the north and south ends of Zhongshan Road.

Taking a taxi is not expensive, starting at 6 yuan.

3. Travel to Yangshuo.

There are two ways to travel to Yangshuo.

One is to take a cruise from Guilin and see the scenery of the Li River all the way; the other is the method that most foreigners usually try: rent a mountain bike and ride from Guilin to Yangshuo.

I happen to have tried both of them, so let’s compare them with my own experience.

The first way is to get on the boat at Guilin Pier (Binjiang Avenue near Jiefang Bridge).

There are several levels of boat tickets, the general ones are about 80 yuan, Chinese food is included, and the deluxe tickets are more than 200 yuan. In my impression, they all seem to be accompanied by a tour guide.

The trip takes about half a day.

It is very wonderful to see the scenery on both sides of the river along the river.

The following is a description from another person: "The 20 kilometers from Elephant Trunk Mountain to Qifeng Town is the "prelude" to the scenery of the Li River. The Li River passes between Elephant Trunk Mountain, Pagoda Mountain, and Jingping Mountain, heading straight to Qifeng Town where there are many strange peaks.

". After passing Qifeng Town, the "prelude" begins immediately. All the way, the water surrounds the mountain ring, and the peaks turn around. Unknowingly, we have seen the "Nine Bulls and Three Continents". The peaks and peaks come one after another, and the scenery gradually becomes better.
