Deng Island → Small Commodity Market opposite Taiwan → What to eat in Xiamen on Xiaodeng Island? Of course, when you go to Xiamen, you eat seafood, and to eat seafood, of course, you go to the food stalls.
Because fresh seafood tastes delicious, it does not require special seasoning processing.
The things and practices in food stalls are not much different from those in big restaurants.
I recommend a few food stalls: Dongyu Seafood Street in Haicang District, where there are many food stalls; Big Banyan Tree, Basketball Court, Ah Chuan, etc. on Huandao Road; Dagu in Shapowei (there are also many food stalls on the side); Ferry
Nearby are the 141 stalls on Kaiyuan Road; the food stalls street on Xidi; the food stalls street in Guanyin Mountain; Ah Aiao at the west gate of the park; the small glasses and fried crab street on Hubin Middle Road, etc.
If you are really rich, then go to Shuyou, Jiali, Kowloon Tong and Lei Yue Mun on the road around the island.
The environment of these restaurants is very good, facing the beach.
Tip: When you come to Xiamen to eat seafood, be sure to bring antidiarrheal medicine and don’t be greedy.
Friends who like to eat late night snacks are best not to go out too late. The famous food stalls here are very popular. If you go late, there will be very few seafood varieties to choose from.
For accommodation in Xiamen, it is recommended to live near Zhongshan Road. The price is relatively cheap. When I went there before, the price was less than 200 per night and the transportation to various attractions is more convenient. If you want to experience the characteristics of Gulangyu, you can also stay in Gulangyu at night.
Most of the hotels on Gulangyu Island are B&Bs, so it’s best to book them in advance, otherwise there won’t be any available rooms on the same day.
