Chongfu Temple
Chongfu Temple is a national key cultural relics protection unit, located on the north side of Neidong Street in Shuoxian County, which was built in the second year of Tang Linde (665) by Hubei Province.
The main hall of Chongfu Temple is the Mituo Hall, which was built in 1143, the third year of Emperor Xizong's reign. It has a history of more than 8 years, which is extremely valuable. The temple is seven rooms wide, with a total width of 4.96 meters and a depth of four rooms with eight rafters of 22.31 meters. The temple rests on the top of the mountain with a single eaves, with a total height of about 21 meters. The temple is located on a tall pedestal, 2.4 meters high, and there is a spacious platform in front of the pedestal, which makes the temple tall and magnificent. Under the eaves
on the front of the temple, there is a vertical plaque of "Mituo Hall", which is the original of the twenty-fourth year of Jin Dading (1184). The statues in the Amitabha Hall are distributed on the big Buddhist altar that spans four rooms. The main statue is the Amitabha Buddha in the middle, the Guanyin Bodhisattva in the left and the Bodhisattva in the right. Buddhism is called the "Three Saints of the West". On both sides of the main image, there are 4 statues of bodhisattvas, and their bodies are slightly curved; There are two king kong standing in the two corners of the stage, majestic and vigorous, glaring. It seems that they are performing their respective duties of protecting the law. These painted sculptures were all works when the temple was built. Although they were reloaded in the Ming Dynasty, their shapes, bodies, clothes and faces have not changed much, and they are still treasures among the statues of the Jin Dynasty in China.
Yanmenguan
The Great Wall on the ridge of Yanmenguan is winding, and it goes to Pingxingguan, Zijingguan and Daomaguan in the east, reaching Youyan and connecting the vast sea. Go west to Xuangangkou, Ning Wuguan, Piantouguan and reach the Yellow River. There are East and West Gates, both of which are built with huge bricks, crossing the clouds with geese, and their doorways are
carved with plaques of "Natural Barrier" and "Geographical Location" respectively. There were towers on the east and west gates, towering in the air, with Yang Jiajiang's group portraits molded inside, and a monument was built for Li Mu outside the East Gate. Unfortunately, both the towers and the Li Mu Temple were burned in one day when the Japanese invaders invaded China.
Yingxian Wooden Pagoda
The Sakya Pagoda of Yingxian Fogong Temple is located in the northwest Fogong Temple in Yingxian City, Shanxi Province, commonly known as Yingxian Wooden Pagoda. Yingxian Wooden Pagoda is located between the mountain gate and the main hall on the north-south axis of the temple, which belongs to the layout of "front tower and back hall". The tower was built on a four-meter-high < P > platform, with a height of 67.31 meters and a bottom floor diameter of 3.27 meters, showing a plane octagon. The first layer of facade has double eaves, and all the above layers are single eaves, with * * * five layers and six eaves, and there are dark layers between the layers, which is actually nine layers. Because the ground floor has heavy eaves and cloisters, the appearance of the tower is six eaves. Each floor of Yingxian Wooden Pagoda is supported by two circles of wooden columns inside and outside. There are 24 columns outside each floor and eight columns inside. Many diagonal braces, beams, purlins and short columns are used between the wooden columns to form a multi-beam wooden frame with different directions. Yingxian Wooden Pagoda is the tallest and oldest existing wooden tower building in China, and it is also the only wooden pavilion-style tower, which is a national key cultural relics protection unit.
Guangwu Ancient City
Guangwu Tunbing Castle is located at the foot of the Yanmenguan Great Wall in the south of Shanyin County, Datong, Shanxi Province. It is the throat artery inside and outside Yanmenguan, so it is called the "north gate lock key" (this is the same as the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing). There are two old castles in Guangwu. The old castle < P > was built in the Western Han Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. New castle, located in the eastern part of Gouzhu, was built in the early Ming Dynasty and called Guangwu City. It was originally used as a residence for stationing troops and later became a folk house. Two castles, guarded by two entrances to hook things, are very dangerous. The predecessor of Guangwu Castle was the "Gouzhu Plug" built by King Wuling of Zhao during the Warring States Period. Guangwu was changed to Yanmen County in Sui Dynasty. When Song and Liao confronted each other, Song occupied Yanmenguan and Liao occupied Guangwu City. Guangwu belonged to Daixian County in Qing Dynasty, so it was under the jurisdiction of Shanyin County in the period of Japanese puppet government.
Killing Tiger Pass
Killing Tiger Pass was called Shenhekou in ancient times, White Wolf Pass in Tang Dynasty and Tooth Wolf Pass in Song Dynasty. In order to resist Mongwa's invasion to the south, the Ming Dynasty sent troops to fight from this port many times, so it was named "Killing Hukou". Since the fifth year of Qin Long in the Ming Dynasty, when Mongolia and Han exchanged markets, the horse market in Hubao, Shengshengbao and Xinpingbao was reopened. In order to ease ethnic conflicts, it was renamed as "Killing Tiger Mouth".
Shahukou, located 35km northwest of Youyu County, Datong, Shanxi, is an important natural pass of the Great Wall. It is bordered by Tangzi Mountain in the east, Dabao Mountain in the west, Leigong Mountain and Miaotou Mountain in the north, and the Great Wall of Wan Li extends from northeast to southwest. Like a
semicircular fence, the tiger killing mouth is surrounded inside, and the mountain cliffs on the east and west sides are steep, and Cangtou River runs through it from south to north, forming a natural pass with a width of more than 2 meters and a length of more than 3 meters.
