Binhai Bay New Area is located in the eastern coastal area of ??Dongguan and the center of the Bohai Rim Economic Circle, with a total area of ??2,270 square kilometers and a permanent population of 2.97 million.

It is a gateway for northern China to open up to the outside world, a high-level modern manufacturing and R&D transformation base, an international shipping center and an international logistics center in the north, and a livable and ecological new city.

It is known as "the third growth pole of China's economy".

Dongguan Binhai Bay New Area is located at the intersection of the east and west coasts of the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration. It is in the geometric center of the core circle of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao, closely connected to Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and closely connected to national-level free trade zones such as Qianhai and Nansha.

It consists of Jiaoyi Bay, Shajiao Peninsula and Weiyuan Island, with a total planned area of ??84.1 square kilometers. It is one of the few strategic areas on the east coast of the Pearl River that can be developed intensively and contiguously.

The new area has a convenient three-dimensional transportation network of land, sea and air.

Airports, high-speed rails, intercity rails, highways, ports, and docks are densely packed within the 1-hour traffic circle, making it easy to reach major cities in the Bay Area such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong.
