Methods/steps

1. First, go to the ORACLE website to download the latest version. After entering official website's homepage, select the popular download under Download.

2. Then select java se to download. The current version is 8U77. After entering the next page, select the operating system corresponding to your computer and download it.

3. The downloaded x86 version of windows, 186M, is very fast and can be completed in a few minutes. It is a self-extracting file at the end of exe.

4. Double-click the exe file to start the installation. There are not many places to choose during the installation process, mainly to configure the path of jdk and jre installation.

5. After the installation, you need to configure the environment parameters. Right-click my computer, select Properties, and select Advanced System Settings in the pop-up page.

6. Select-<; Environment variable >, select system variable, find the line corresponding to PATH, select Edit, and add the directory just installed.
