Learned folk guitar and folk guitar playing and singing from the music teacher Mr. Ye Kaixuan. In 1997, he studied at the Middle School Affiliated to Xinghai Conservatory of Music. He learned classical guitar from the famous music teacher Mr. Chen Guochan. While in school, he formed his own band HOT - serving as the guitarist and lead singer, and accompanied the band.
