Data of No.15 Library of Dalian Port:
On November 21, 27, with the collapse of two 45-meter-high chimneys in Siergou Port Area of Dalian Port, the relocation project of the eastern port area of Dalian Port was completely completed. Fortunately, as a historical building within the relocation scope of the eastern port area, No.15 Reservoir in Dagang District has been completely preserved. Port culture will flourish here, urban history will continue here, and the spirit of the old pier will be carried forward here.
Warehouse p>15 is located on the shore of Pier A, which is the birthplace of Dalian's modern city. From the collection of Dalian Port Exhibition Hall, we can understand the evolution of 15 warehouses. The original drawing was titled No.1 warehouse in Jiabutou, and the west wall was marked No.12 after completion. After China recovered Dalian Port, the warehouse yard in the port was rearranged and numbered No.15, which is still in use today. This landmark building built in 1929 is 196 meters long, 39 meters wide and 18.45 meters high. It is a four-story reinforced concrete structure with a total construction area of 26, square meters and a capacity of 15, tons. There is a thermal insulation warehouse of 486 square meters in the fourth floor. It is said that it was the port warehouse with the largest construction area and the highest degree of mechanization in East Asia at that time, and it was called "the first warehouse in East Asia".
it's no exaggeration to say that No.15 warehouse has the highest degree of mechanization. When it was put into use, it was equipped with several fire alarm systems, three 3-ton passenger and cargo elevators made by Toshiba of Japan and ten 2-ton hoists made in Japan. The ground of the warehouse is paved with reinforced concrete, which is thick and durable. It can not only store high goods, but also withstand the shuttle of forklifts weighing several tons. The north of the warehouse is near the sea, and the second, third and fourth floors are contracted step by step, forming three open-air cargo platforms to match with four Japanese-made 3-ton old-fashioned portal cranes on the shore. During operation, the portal cranes lift the cargo on board and hook it on the open-air platform, and when they fall together, the operation between the ship and the warehouse is completed. The open-air platform has become a major feature of the 15 th Library. In the south of the warehouse, there is a special railway line, and there are 1 warehouse doors on the third floor upstairs. Each warehouse door is equipped with a Japanese-style crane. By extending to the track outside the warehouse, the crane can load the goods in the warehouse into the train on the special railway line conveniently and quickly.
Warehouse p>15 mainly contains LTL goods, among which, groceries are the main ones. In the sixties and seventies of last century, almost all LTL daily groceries transported from Shanghai to 1,1 stations in the hinterland of Northeast China were reloaded here and then loaded and shipped out of our port. It is also a testing ground for container transportation in mainland China. In September 1972, the container route from Dalian to Shanghai was opened, and it was carried by passenger and cargo liners. First, it was a 2-ton heavy wooden box, then a 5-ton heavy iron box, and the 15 th warehouse once became a container station. At that time, the eight ships berthed at Dock A were all 7,-ton "long" passenger liners made by Shanghai Jiangnan Shipyard, which could carry more than 1, passengers at a time. The words after the prefix were self-reliance, strength, change, health, brocade, embroidery, river and mountain respectively. For example, in October 1976, Chang Zilun sent us the news of the downfall of the Gang of Four. When these passenger liners arrived, they mainly shipped light industrial products and groceries made in Shanghai. When they returned, they shipped pig iron made in Angang and Benxi Steel and some LTL and department stores. Due to the relative shortage of materials in the northern region at that time, many employees in Hong Kong used to "get the moon by being close to the water", and often entrusted the crew to help buy some daily necessities such as dried noodles, flour, meat, eggs, bicycles and cloth made in Shanghai, which were in short supply by ticket.
During this period, unlike other warehouses in Dagang District, Warehouse 15 has its own loading and unloading team, cranes in the warehouse and forklift drivers, with more complete personnel and functions. When the seven-shift six-shift system was implemented, seven loading and unloading teams were set up in the first district where the 15 th warehouse was located. In 1973, more than 1 elderly and frail stevedores who were taken care of were drawn from the "field" stevedores with strong physical labor, and specially set up stevedores No.8 team, which was mainly responsible for loading and unloading groceries on passenger liners from Shanghai to Dalian. In 198, when the four-shift and three-shift labor shift system was implemented, the eight loading and unloading teams were changed to five loading and unloading teams. Although the leaders of the operation area have given these old workers the care of "pig iron is not stripped, loose objects are not unloaded, and heavy bags weighing more than 5 kilograms are not dried", this "care" has even aroused their simple feelings of loving the party, patriotism and Hong Kong. They consciously take the old dock "love Hong Kong as home", "respect customers and goods", "one hammer and three catties of grain" and "sewing kit with them. I cherish a nail, a screwdriver and a piece of rope scattered on the job site, pick it up and put it in the "treasure chest". When the rope for tying goods is not long enough, find a short rope end from the box and connect it; When the loading box is broken, find out the hammer and nail and re-nail it. With its fine tradition and style of work, the No.5 Loading and Unloading Team has been tempered into a hard-working, hard-working and hard-working workforce. Although the name is more loading and unloading five teams, the spirit of "old eight teams" is screaming. At the beginning of 198, many old workers retired, and among the 183 employees in the team, 135 posts were replaced by young employees. In order to carry forward the spirit of the "Old Eighth Team" among young workers, the Dalian Port Party Committee combed the spirit of the "Old Eighth Team" in January 1981, and summarized six spirits, named "Old Wharf Spirit": the spirit of hard work and hard work; Meticulous and striving for perfection; The spirit of not being afraid of difficulties and bravely shouldering heavy burdens; The spirit of unity and cooperation, regardless of remuneration; The spirit of serving the public wholeheartedly and loving Hong Kong as home; The spirit of going deep into the scene and taking the lead. These six spirits are familiar to Dalian Port employees, and they also have great influence in the domestic port and shipping industry, becoming the "port soul" and heirloom of Dalian Port. Facing the wind by the sea. With a history of 8 years, the 15 storehouses may no longer have the warehouse function, but history will surely give her a new mission, which is her charm and her spirituality.
