The development of history
Lintong is named after a river in the east and a river in the west. "Lintong County Records" said: "Xiangfu changed its name, so it was named Lintong because of the counties around Lintong and Tonger."
During the Warring States Period, the Qin Dynasty established Liyang as its capital on the Weihe River, and when it was in Qin Xiaogong, it set up Liyang County. Because the land north of Weihe River is flat and wide, and it is rich in grain, the county system has been maintained from Qin and Han Dynasties to Sui and Tang Dynasties. In addition to ancient Liyang, there are ten thousand years (now Liyang Town) Yan County (now Jiaokou Town) Ping Ling, (now Suyi Kangqiao) and other counties. To the south of Weihe River, Li Rong was a state of Zhou Dynasty. There is also a theater city and Zhiyang. Ying Zheng, the first Qin Emperor, established Yili (2365438 BC). During the reign of Emperor Gaozu, Yili was changed to Xinfeng (the county address is now Xinfeng, BC 197). In 686 AD, the Hong Men County and Hongzhou County were changed to Qingshan County, and in 69 1 year, the Tianchui Arch in Tang Wuze was changed to Qingshan County. In the third year of Emperor Zhong's reign (AD 705), Qingshan County was abandoned and restored to Xinfeng County. In the third year of Tianbao (A.D. 744), Huichang County (where the present city is located) was established. In the seventh year of Tianbao (AD 748), Xinfeng was merged into Huichang and renamed Zhao Ying County. In the eighth year of the Northern Song Dynasty (AD 10 15), He Lin (the ravine water of Shiwensi) passed around the east of the city, and Tonghe (the hot spring water) passed around the west of the city, hence the name Lintong. In the 4th year of Yuan Shizu to Yuan Dynasty (A.D. 1267), Liyang County was reduced to a town and belonged to Lintong County. At this point, the Weihe River in Lintong started as a county, and its jurisdiction is similar to today's scale. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Lintong was under the jurisdiction of Xi government. In the Republic of China, it belonged to Xianyang administrative supervision area.
1949 Lintong was liberated and was under the jurisdiction of Weinan area. 1956 changed to provincial jurisdiction. 1958 was placed under the jurisdiction of Xi 'an, 196 1 returned to Weinan, and 1983 was placed under the jurisdiction of Xi 'an. (The above is taken from the local website)
