The University of Northern Virginia is a for-profit school located in Annendale, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA. This university was established in 1998, offering undergraduate, master and doctoral degrees. Although Wei Bei University is not well-known in the United States, it claims to be the most popular American university for Indian students.

The University of Northern Victoria is monitored by the federal government, and its academic and student visa issues have also been reported by the media. 2011On July 28th, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Service raided the school office and informed the school government that it would ban the school from issuing admission notices to international students. Kapil Sibal, an Indian parliamentarian, compared Wei Bei University with the infamous sham University, and said that the university did not have any acceptable accreditation. Although Indian media predicted that Wei Bei University would be closed permanently in 2065438, it continued to operate after that.

20 13 On July 6th, Virginia Department of Higher Education revoked the license of Wei Bei University and forced it to close.
