The most famous thing about Daguan Tower is the 180-character "The First Long Couplet in Ancient and Modern Times" inscribed by Sun Yanweng, a famous teacher in the Qing Dynasty.

The beauty of Dianchi Lake blends with the vicissitudes of Yunnan's history, which is worth savoring.

The couplet "There is a king in the east, a supernatural being in the west, a snake growing in the north, and a Su in the south" depicts the Golden Horse Mountain in the east, the jade chicken and dancing phoenix in the west, the Snake Mountain in the north winding like a snake, and the He Mountain flying like a white crane in the south;

As well as the natural beauty of "the fragrance of rice on all sides, clear sand on all sides, lotus flowers in September and willows in March".
