Sweet-scented osmanthus glutinous rice lotus root is an attractive dessert. The method is simple:
Ingredients: 2 lotus roots, 1/2 rice bowl of glutinous rice, 8-9 red dates, 45g of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of sweet osmanthus, and 15g of rock sugar.
Practice:
1. Wash the glutinous rice and soak it in clear water for 2-3 hours. Wash the lotus root and remove the skin.
2. Cut off two or three centimeters from one end of the lotus root with a knife and leave it as a cover. Fill the soaked glutinous rice into the lotus root, and poke it firmly with chopsticks while filling it.
3. After glutinous rice is put in the lotus root eyes, cover the lotus root pedicle and seal it with a toothpick.
4. Prepare seasonings and red dates for cooking lotus root.
5. Put the brewed glutinous rice lotus root into the pot, pour clear water into the lotus root, add brown sugar and red dates into it, boil over high heat, then turn to low heat and cook for half an hour.
6. After half an hour, add the crystal sugar and cook for about a quarter of an hour on low heat.
7. The cooked glutinous rice lotus root can be sliced and eaten after being taken out and cooled slightly. When eating, it is covered with honey juice mixed with sweet osmanthus and honey, which is delicious.
