Take the subway from Shenzhen North Station to Futian Port. After the customs, there will be a subway. After several transfers, there will be a stop called the Expo Pavilion, but the fare is quite expensive. There seems to be a direct train from Shenzhen to Yabo.

You can go back to Shenzhen overnight. Most ports are closed at 10 or 1 1 at night, but Huanggang port is open all night.
