Yifeng Street in Xianyang: Four Streets in the Ancient City of Ming and Qing Dynasties
In the old city of Xianyang in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there was a famous Phoenix Terrace, which was built in the fourth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (137 1). According to legend, Nong Yu, the youngest daughter of Qin Mugong, played a blowjob here to attract the phoenix. There are four important streets and lanes in the four directions of Phoenix Terrace, namely Yifeng South Street, Yifeng North Street, Yifeng East Street and Yifeng West Street.

The name of Yifeng Street comes from the allusion of "Phoenix coming to the instrument", which is the laudatory name of Phoenix. In the Tang Dynasty, Zhang wrote in "Nanfeng Xunfu": "At the beginning, people in Sri Lanka solved it, and Shu Yifeng came as a member." In the Song Dynasty, when Su Shi played a new song Fu in Yanhe Hall, he wrote: "Once this song is published, it will sigh the beauty of the pearl; The sounds can be combined and you can see the arrival of a peak. "

This street is located on the south side of Phoenix Terrace, with a north-south arc, about 250 meters long and 8 meters wide. Yifeng South Street was built in the 26th year of Ming Jiajing (1547), with Yingmen Lane in the south, the magnificent county magistrate's office in the east, and the county commandant's office and the history department in the west.

After the founding of New China, the roads here were paved with asphalt, and main roads and sidewalks were built, which basically formed the present appearance. Yifeng South Street starts from the east side of Phoenix Terrace in the north and ends at the middle section of Zhongshan Street in the south, with old houses on both sides, which basically keep the original appearance.

Yifeng North Street was built in the 16th year of Qing Qianlong (175 1), formerly known as "Laijia Lane". It is connected to the Temple of Wealth Lane in the north and directly to the foot of the former city wall, and there are no important buildings around.

Later, the wall on the north side was demolished and a wide Renmin Road was built, which became the main road in Xianyang city. At the same time, Yifeng North Street will extend northward, connecting Renmin Road to form the entrance. Now, there are many shops on both sides, dealing in all kinds of snacks.

The east is connected with North Street, facing Flower Shop Lane, and the surrounding area is very lively.

After the founding of New China, the pavement was paved with asphalt, and main roads and sidewalks were built, which basically formed the present appearance. Now, after the transformation of the eastern end of Yifeng East Street, a high-rise building with antique style has been built; The middle and west ends of Yifeng East Street remain basically the same, and ankokuji here has become an important religious place in the old city.

After the founding of New China, the road surface was widened and paved with asphalt, which basically formed what it is now. At the eastern end of Yifeng West Street, there is a Notre Dame, which looks very simple. At the western end of Yifeng West Street, there used to be a school with a teaching building in the north and a small playground in the south. Today, the school has long been demolished and has become the location of the "central territory" property.

In the fourth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (137 1), Xianyang County moved here, with a history of more than 600 years. During the years of Jiajing, Wanli, Chongzhen and Qingganlong in Ming Dynasty, this Xianyang city was rebuilt on a large scale, forming more than 30 dense streets and lanes, connecting every household in the old city.

Xianyang is a famous historical and cultural city in China, and the ancient city of Ming and Qing dynasties has always been protected. However, with the continuous development of the city, many buildings here have been dilapidated and there is no way to continue to use them. Therefore, in the process of rebuilding the old city, the ancient city of Xianyang in Ming and Qing Dynasties gradually disappeared.

Yifeng Street, located in the center of the old city, is the main road of the ancient city of Xianyang in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, surrounding the tall Phoenix Terrace, forming a crossroads. At present, these four Yifeng streets are basically well preserved, and a large number of old houses can still be seen. Don't tear it down again, it's valuable!
