After driving through Lashihai, the First Bend of the Yangtze River, and Qiaotou Town, we took the lower road of Tiger Leaping Gorge. We looked at the Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge from a distance on the road. We arrived at the Zhongxia Gorge at noon. After having dinner at Teacher Zhang’s Inn, we started hiking the Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge.

Facing the steep mountains on both sides, take Teacher Zhang's Plank Road and hike to the Tiger Leaping Stone at the bottom of the valley. At this time, you can feel the world-famous canyon, hosted by Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain, with a river drop of more than 200 meters---Jinsha River

Songzanlin Temple is located on the Seri hillside five kilometers north of the county seat. It is backed by Kari Mountain, which is shaped like a lying elephant, and faces the Holy Mother Lake. A dozen kilometers away from the Tibetan Village for lunch is the Dongzhulin Temple, which has a history of nearly 500 years and is the largest in the area. It has preserved a large number of precious cultural relics and is known as the most accomplished temple; after paying homage to Dongzhulin Temple, walk along the white snow

The white-capped Rhododendron Forest, which was recently selected as the most beautiful plateau rhododendron forest in China, is a large red, yellow and green fir forest at the foot of the white snow-capped mountains. After traveling on the winding mountain road for nearly two hours, we arrived at the Baima Snow Mountain with an altitude of 4292 meters.

This is the highest altitude reached during the entire trip. Many travelers will experience slight mountain reflections in this area, so don’t act rashly during this period.

After crossing the Yakou of the Snow Mountain, going around the mountain, passing by the Thirteenth Sutra Pagoda at the Deqin Welcome Platform, we arrived at Deqin County, the highest town in Yunnan. After another 20 minutes or so, we arrived at the Meili Snow Mountain Observation Deck at around six o'clock in the evening.

Day 3: Feilai Temple - Mingyong Glacier - Benzilan (about 180 kilometers). After getting up early, we went to the Feilai Temple observation deck at our accommodation to watch the sunrise over Meili Snow Mountain. The sun shines on Jinshan; this is the best location to view Meili Snow Mountain from a distance.

The entrance fee to Mingyong Glacier Park is 63 yuan, and it takes about four hours to hike up and down the mountain to Mingyong Glacier. Horseback riding is recommended, and the horse fee is 85 yuan for a round trip.

After visiting Mingyong and having lunch, it was time to go back. We went back to Feilai Temple, then passed Deqin, Yingbin Terrace, Baima Yakou, and arrived at Benzilan for dinner at about 8 o'clock in the evening; we stayed in Benzi for the night.

Day 4: Benzilan - Shudu Lake - Lashihai - Lijiang (about 220 kilometers) You need to get up early today and set off from Benzilan via Jinshajiang Bridge and Napa Sea back to Shangri-La County and go to Shu
