Hezhou Huangyao Ancient Town has a very long history and cultural connotation. It is just like an ordinary mountain town in Guangxi. The various delicate and lively towns give people endless reveries and myths. It is an excellent tourist destination. A tourist attraction, let me share with you the travel guide to Huangyao Ancient Town in Hezhou.
Is Huangyao Ancient Town worth visiting?
It is worth going. Traveling here is absolutely worth it, with beautiful scenery and delicious food
When is the best time to go to Huangyao Ancient Town in Hezhou?
This is usually best in April and May and in September and October.
I make an appointment with my best friend one month in advance. Because of my career, my best friend usually has to follow my time. Then I decided to take the weekend off.
There is a direct train to where I work. My best friend is in Dongguan and needs to transfer to Guangzhou South, so we did not take the same high-speed train. The two arrived at an hour apart. I arrived first and then at the high-speed rail station. Wait for her.
The high-speed train will arrive in one hour, and it will take about one and a half hours from Guangzhou South.
Hezhou Station is relatively small and is still under construction. The public toilets should be outside the station near the parking lot, and the bus to Huangyao Ancient Town is right next to the toilets.
The buses to the ancient town are all direct. We took the 12:30 bus, which is probably the off-season. The bus left at 12:47 and arrived at the gate of the ancient town in about an hour.
You need to buy a ticket to enter the ancient town. The ticket price is 100 yuan on site. It is cheaper to buy tickets online at 155.8 for two tickets, but you must buy them two hours in advance. I bought them at 12:08 and arrived. It was 13:48, and the staff refused to let us change, saying it was not even two hours yet, so we had to wait there for 20 minutes. I heard there are many ways to evade fares, it all depends on your personal ability.
The gate of the ancient town
After entering, we first went to find the inn we booked online. There are many inns in the ancient town. There should be somewhere to stay without making a reservation in the off-season.
Where we stayed
We followed the Baidu map and walked about 900 meters to get there. We booked a discounted room for 104 yuan/night. It was relatively small, but it was clean and the quilt was relatively good. It's thin. Fortunately, the air conditioner has heating. The sound insulation is a bit poor. Because it's the off-season, we only live on the whole floor, so it's not noisy. For the price, it's acceptable. Anyway, I had a very satisfying sleep. Maybe it was because I was on duty the night before and had to catch the train, so I felt sleepy, so I fell asleep in bed.
I will post pictures next. I feel that my photography skills have improved a bit, and I am quite satisfied, hahaha
The ancient town is relatively small, and one day is more than enough, so it is suitable for relaxing. Just daze, take photos, and feel great!
The food is relatively rough, basically farm-style stir-fries and noodles, with a lot of pickled products, it all depends on personal preference. My best friend and I both like to eat dried persimmons and sweet potatoes. We bought so many of them, hahaha, that my hands hurt from carrying them. . .
When I came back, I sent postcards. I bought tickets and got them for free. We sent them to each other.
I heard that the nearby Gupo Mountain is worth visiting. From the beginning, we planned to only stay in the ancient town and leave it to the future. We don’t know how to get to Gupo Mountain from the ancient town, but we can go to the ancient town from Hezhou. There is a direct bus from Hezhou to Gupo Mountain next to the bus.
Two days and one night are quite worth it. My best friend said that if you are wronged, just buy a ticket, carry a bag, and come here to heal, haha.
