The reason is that in PS, the layering of darkening and brightening will not be lost, and it is difficult to find details when the highlights are darkened.

Step 2: Create a new layer, change the layer mode to "Soft Light" and adjust the transparency of the layer. This value depends on the specific dishes and light.
Cheats: After the "soft light" effect, you will get beautiful contrast and color. However, the disadvantage of this function is that black and white layers will be lost. At this time, it is suggested to erase the brightest and darkest places on this layer with a mask.
The third step: adjust the layering of black and white locally, and use the combination of tools such as curves and highlights to erase the needed places with masks. This step may have to be repeated several times, so everyone must be patient at this stage.
Ordinary food pictures, whether Chinese food or western food, will have obvious dark parts and highlights. For example, a fried vegetarian dish, with white yam and black fungus. For example, a dessert contains both white cream and black blueberries.
This method may be a waste of time and a stupid one, but the advantage is that it is more accurate. In a photo, all the details can be seen at a glance, and then you are often satisfied.
