I am a person who loves to cook. I have liked to help my mother cook since I was a child, so I have strong hands-on skills. I started cooking alone at the age of 7 and enjoy it.
I remember one time, my parents came back very late from working in the fields. I made porridge and vegetables at home. My mother happily praised me. From then on, I couldn’t control myself. I always like to get into the kitchen and watch my mother cook. The more I watched, the more I got a feel for it, and I was eager to try it many times. My mother is very trusting of me. She lets me do it if I want to do it, without any fear that I won’t do it well. In this environment, I completely fell in love with cooking.
When I was in fifth grade, I started to learn how to make pasta. I made dumplings, noodles, pancakes, and steamed buns. Everything was easy. Of course, the first time I made it, it was not ideal, but once I made it, I learned it twice. , plus my mother often gives me opportunities to try, so I have been able to master it at a young age.
When I grew up, I liked cooking even more. I didn’t study hard in high school and thought about becoming a chef one day. When I told my mother my idea, I saw her disappointed eyes. , I instantly understood that cooking is only a necessary skill for everyone, and it would be very sad to give up schooling because of this skill, not to mention that I am a girl.
So I studied hard and went to college. After graduation, I became a people's teacher. However, my desire to be a chef has not changed at all over the years. Helpless, the ideal is very full, the reality is very skinny.
However, loving cooking also adds luster to my life. My husband is from the south and I am from the north. We often had conflicts over different diets. Later, I simply cooked and ate what I liked, and the taste of happiness filled my stomach.
I have a friend who lives in the same community as me and is about the same age as me. Like most girls, she doesn’t like cooking very much and she doesn’t know how to cook, so she often invites me to cook at their house. Rice, every time I hear her complimenting voice, I feel warm in my heart.
Looking around, many of my colleagues and even some colleagues who are older than me can’t cook better than me. I often like to bring delicious food to my colleagues and see their satisfied expressions while listening. Their voices were full of praise, and I felt that I was the happiest person at this moment.
I analyzed the reasons why girls don’t like to cook: First, because they cook less. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. If you cook a few times, you will become perfect. The second reason is because we are lazy. Now is the era of information technology. As long as you want to cook, there are various food software on the Internet, and you can just follow the steps.
But why isn’t everyone willing to try it?
