Wutai Mountain is located in the northeast of Shanxi Province, between Wutai County and fan shi, Xinzhou City, and 23 kilometers southwest of Taiyuan, the provincial capital. Together with Putuo Mountain in Zhejiang, Jiuhua Mountain in Anhui and Emei Mountain in Sichuan, it is called "Four Famous Buddhist Mountains in China". Together with Nepalese Lumbini Garden, Indian Rokuyaon, Bodhgaya, and Naga, it is called the world's five Buddhist holy places, or the world's five famous Buddhist mountains. In November, 1982, the State Council first announced Wutai Mountain as a "national key scenic spot". In 1992, the Ministry of Forestry approved it as a "National Forest Park". In January 21, the National Tourism Administration approved it as "the first batch of national AAAA-level tourist attractions". On June 26th, 29, it was officially listed in the World Heritage List at the 33rd World Heritage Conference held in Seville, Spain. Wutai Mountain is only 624 meters above sea level at the lowest point and 361.1 meters above sea level at the highest point, which is the highest peak in North China and is known as the "roof of North China". The top of the platform is vast, the mountains are overlapping, the peaks and ridges are staggered, and it is tall and magnificent. Nature has created many unique landscapes for it. Wutai Mountain has a cold climate and is also called "Qingliang Mountain". The annual average temperature is MINUS 4 degrees, the hottest in July and August, 9.5 degrees and 8.5 degrees respectively, and the coldest in January, with an average temperature of MINUS 18.8 degrees. Taihuai area enters spring one month earlier than the top of the platform and autumn one month later. The temperature difference is about 6 degrees. The annual average temperature is 2-3 degrees, the lowest temperature is MINUS 3 degrees and the highest temperature is 3 degrees. In summer, the clouds in the air in Taihuai area are low, the humidity is high, and there is often rain. The Qifeng Cliff of Wutai Mountain is everywhere, with more than 5 famous people. Among them, the writing cliff, after being wetted with water, is carefully wiped with a handkerchief, and the cliff surface will show handwriting similar to seal script, and the water is dry and the words are hidden. Someone once removed the epidermis stone layer, and as a result, the lower layer can still erase words. There are words at different levels, and the words are different. According to the records, the couplet "the three treasures of heaven, the sun, the moon and the stars, the three treasures of earth, the fire, the water and the wind, and the three treasures of man" has been found. The average elevation is more than 11 meters, and the highest point, Ye Dou Peak in Beitai, is 361.1 meters above sea level, which is called "the roof of North China". Wutai Mountain is about 32 kilometers away from Fiona Fang. It is named Wutai because the five peaks, like five giant pillars, rise from the ground and stand tall, and the summit is as flat as a platform. Because of the cold climate on the mountain, there is still no heat in midsummer, so it is also called Qingliang Mountain.
